So I just took over Drassen and naturally thought it would be good to train militia. 3 groups training and when first group is ready I see that they only managed to train 3 militia. Second group finished and now I had a whopping 8 militia to distribute. I have changed some stuff in the .ini file but not in militia training. Have I missed something or is something really belly up?

Thanks

Hi donelton, welcome to the pit!

Take at look at the settings in JA2_Options.ini, especially this:
; Minimum leadership skill required to be able to train Militia at all
MINIMUM_LEADERSHIP_TO_TRAIN_MILITIA = 20

; If TRUE, having higher leadership allows training more militia (up to MAX_TRAINING_SQUAD_SIZE).
LEADERSHIP_AFFECTS_MILITIA_QUANTITY = TRUE

; Required amount of Leadership Skill to train a full unit of militia (MAX_TRAINING_SQUAD_SIZE) every session.
REQ_LEADERSHIP_FOR_MAX_MILITIA = 60
Whenever you finish training, this is evaluated, the highest leadership of awake trainers counts. If it was 20, well, won't get many people then.

Thanks.

That explains it. Tho I was sure that Teaching would help (maybe just speeds up process). So Ice and Buns is a no-go, and most of my team.

Teaching indeed helps with speed of training. But it doesn't alter this leadership threshold.

Wait, so it's more economical for one person to train militia vs two? What?

The number of trainers is irrelevant for the threshold. The highest leadership of all awake trainers counts the moment the assignment is finished.

you get Ira for free..she has teaching..she starts low..but have her training alone on her leadership skill until she reaches 20..then dedicate her to all future militia training..her stat skyrockets fast and she pumps out mass militia in short order
