Hello guys, I bought an HK21E from BR, but surprisingly not able to attach a bipod. The slot says only foregrip possible. But who needs a foregrip for a super heavy MG??
Is this a bug or what?
Sorry, edit: Only foregrip is possible

silversurfer wrote on Wed, 09 May 2018 20:21No idea. When I create a HK21 it comes with a bipod attached to it. The tooltip says that it can take a bipod or foregrip. Looks fine to me.
Weird, here in r8517 the 21e only accepts a foregrip,
btw does not change if the <bipod> entry is removed in items.xml,
so i wonder to which install you refer or whether something is wrong in my install.

To help compensate the recoil

I was rather sure that you use the latest release,
just could not imagine that someone would steal the bipod from the 21e,
but looking at the (still uncomplete) 8555 install,
the terrible suspicion arises to me that another crime/leje majeste/sacrilege has been commited;)

Yes, while several years old "misplaced items" bug still exists and "stand up from suppression when prone" bug appears to have been born,
someone put effort into removing built in bipods of 23e, m60e, famas g2, aug hbar, stey scout and perhaps more,
my prog fails to synchroize at #728, and i didnt see a reason to invest time for the remaing entries.
Anyway the effort to remove bipods which are mounted in a way that allows simultaneous use of foregrip, ugl etc
for a reason that must be far beyond my horizon,
will cause additional effort for the gazillions of players like me who dont accept those changes,
and are forced to put in time for giving the "rightful";) properties back to those items,
instead of only the usual suspects like the WA 2000 which has its specific built in bipod.
These changes even cause Einstein to turn in his grave
because the mass stayed the same although something was removed! :D
Besides, the built in "bipod" of the scout are 2 wobbly/flabby plastic legs which are part of the handguard,
they should not give the full bonus of the standard (and admittedly still crappy) metal bipod.
Removing that part of the handguard should result in handling penalty :p
