Ive tried to edit some miniatures for items, but i cant use black color since its used as a transparency background. Ive made a workaround of applying some slight color change to black color and thus the transparency wont catch. Is there any other way of doing this? Why items have black transparency and guns have blue?

I think the darkest black in the Gimp picture must not be below (03 03 03),
as the game respectively sti format will show pixels with e.g. (02 02 02) distance to transparency color also as transparent,
for safety measures my pics usually do not contain pixels "closer" than (05 05 05) to the background/transparency color,
in this case black (00 00 00)
When I import the palette in StiEditor, from the bmp which was saved by the gimp as 16bit r5g6b5 .bmp,
the 1st color in the sti palette is often "wrong", i.e. not the desired transparency color.
In that case I click on the 1st color and check the values.
Now I select a color from the palette which is not contained in the picture (best do not touch 2nd, 3rd and last 2 colors)
and assign the color values from the 1st slot.
Now i change the 1st slot to the given transparency color, here black (00 00 00)
Then i select another palette color which does appear in pic and assign my darkest black in pic, e.g. (05 05 05).
For safety measures I may even assign a dummy black of (03 03 03) to another abundant slot as "buffer" between transparency and darkest black in my pic.
