I can understand Shadow. I guess he is the coolest, has the calmest attitude, he never goes bazurk, he's a model for what a commando's prestation should be. Even wounded, he thinks about the trail that might leave. So professional, so collected. Worth every dime, if you got the cash. I'd go with him anywhere, even in real life... And he never irritates me.
But Buzz sucks, man. Having those weapon skills in such an individual is just a BIG waste. Guess you like her for being at the other pole,huh?

Having experienced the purposeful unity of units whose goal was to strike fast, deadly and with pin-point precision, plus the survival of each and every one, I personally don't believe in mercenary attitude: fighting exclusively for cash is somehow below the dignity of a commando. The one person I respected more than anybody in our ranks was a quiet guy, who matched Shadow in every aspect.
I also don't believe in guys who "just love their work", amators, dillettantes, thrill-seekers. Hate psychos, even with 90+ wisdom!

P.S. Ripper seems more dangerous, two-edged and deadly: that's my image of the mercenary: a proffesional assasin.

 Shadow is in my opinion, the best merc available, I always have him in my team either from the beginning or as soon as I can afford him.


In second place I always have Lynx with him. They are a great team.

Yes, Lynx makes a good pair with him, but only to see the contrast between the sounds they emit when wounded.

 I don't like either of them.

There's no point to Buzz when she's got a marksmanship that high and no freakin' medical ability.

Shadow either steals the show or ends up in the back while the rest of my Merc's are running 'round doing the hit and run thing. ... Not a team player, him.

Reaper, on the other hand, is the Man. As far as I'm concerned he's got all their strength's and none of the weaknesses.

 Reaper; along with Shadow, is one of those guys that make the game a little boring by being a little too good at the start.
I much prefer the kind of merc that struggles to get the job done. Uber mercs don't make the game that much easier but just more 1 dimentional.

But then again I really like live music when compared to crap that gets put under the microscope before you hear it.

 Totally agree. ... I like my IMP Mrec to be the man of the hour (Or woman, usually) and with Reaper around, well, he just steals the show. ... I much prefer low priced Mercs at the start that I can hire for cheap and build them up ... It's also easier to get my old squad back when I move over to UB. ... That said, for overall non-stop arse kicking, Reaper gets my vote.
