Um, yes. I was taking C9 of An Loc the other day, during the night. Well, I was throwing grenades around, I think, and I believe along the way I may have...um...clipped a civilian...
Well, he must have been the mayor's kid or something because after that the entire town turned on me! Now, it was hard to kill as many enemies as I had by that time, and this was on my only mid-combat save, so I decided to continue the fight. However, after I had killed all the VC, I was left to hunt down all the civilians...fat men, fleeing womyn, little kids, cripples...I have to say it was not good for my psyche...the only survivor was one woman in the upper-right corner of the map that I guess didn't feel too attached to the rest of her sector.
Anyways, my point is this. Everyone in the sector was obviously of the same civilian group. What I wonder is, does this civilian group extend outside the sector? Every time I take a town, am I going to have to genocide everyone in it? Becuase if that's the case, I'm just going to reload to before the battle, right now...

Well, the GI's in An loc behave the same if you hit them by mistake they become enemies. probably the constant attacks on An Loc base made them a bit edgy...
