when I open the g11.dat file I get a message saying something like "you are trying to open a .dat file.
these files are used by the operating system...
it seems that my computer doesn't know in which program it should be opened.
How do I open them, which program should I use to view it?

So like. You ONLY need to extract g11.dat from ZIP-archive and put that g11.dat into that folder, where g11.zip was. You don't need to "open" it, just unzip it. Then start game and to to sector G11.
