I guess it's similiar to what you cited about the G11-ammo
"a little dust in the barrel, that can ignite in it and bring heavy thermic problems when firing."

'dust' in this case = gunpowder/G11-propellant (?hexal or it's predecessor)

Found one page with many - HITP DM11
DynamiteNobel ammo
4.73mm x 33 DM11
4.73 x 25 (for the PDW)
Appearantly there's a 4.9 prototype 'BBQ-block' as well, that green variant on the HKpage.

Wolfgang Seel has written a book about the G11 '99 is the date I found. (perhaps it's the same man)
His book is for sale online, there's many G11 and development model-pics on the product-summary page and part 2, text is about the sight/scope built for the G11.

Benelli was also working on caseless around around this timeframe. I remember seeing pictures in the 87' Shooters Bible of the 9mm caseless and SMG for it.

Now this is the gun I remember.

But this is not the ammo I remember. What they were showing was very similiar to the Daisy VL with a block of propellant attached to a conventional bullet.

Bet a lot of you didn't know Daisy Airguns also made caseless ammo.
