OK. First off the least important thing - I'm doing away with the "1." in the version number, so instead of this being "v1.12" it is now "v12". When I get to 13 I don't want to confuse people with the 1.13 Mod.
Anyway . . .
I apologize for taking so long to get this into shape, and again for having a BETA version. I'm getting old, my memory is shot, and the past year has been very rough on my overall health. I wanted to get a definitive version of AV out before the inevitable but I bit off a little more than i could chew in a year. That said, I got a lot done that I wanted, and much of the rest on my list are just tweaks . . . except for some that are bigger.
CAVEATS
Sector N3 the Meduna Airport is not playable. I don't know what happened but several versions of the N3 map that I tried all refused to load in-game and in the map editor. I will have to build it from scratch - which is why I decided to release this BETA. While I build that sector and playtest this BETA I will also collect reports from anybody who wants to test this BETA. The Meduna Airport comes in the later stages of the game, and the Patch should be save-compatible (barring unforeseen things). I figure to release a patch in 30 days or so, and that will be all for a few months while I take a vacation in Arulco and re-stock my to-do list.
I got overzealous with random weapons . . . I gave random weapons mostly to civilians, but also to some enemy soldiers. The problem is that ammo in those weapons disappear when unloaded, and show as NADA when loaded. However, they seem to function as normal despite that. For this BETA just sell off any weapons you encounter that eats ammo and doesn't give it back. I will finish going through all the maps and fix that. On the bright side - there's a ton of random stuff in crates and lockers and under sinks and in bookcases and on tables . . . etc . . . and some of it actually qualifies as "treasure"!
Doctors, Paramedics, and the Hospital. Be prepared for a long, tough slog. Nobody comes out it whole. Expect that getting shot now means you won't be back up benchpressing 250 and running a 2 minute mile the next day. It also means that doctors and paramedics are vital, and the hospital is now just as important as the mines and airport -- perhaps more so. If you don't like playing wounded then I advise skipping this vacation for something in Bermuda. This is war. Grade B-Movie war (maybe even Bollywood war).
There are now 71 total Recruitable Player Characters. Much thanks and credit goes to The Scorpion for making the new RPCs. I haven't updated the NewRecruitables.txt (in Profiles) yet but I will for the Patch. until then, it's like a new game - ask everybody you want to.
NCTH. This is what took me months. I've added in all the NCTH tags to the (hopefully) appropriate items in an appropriate way. I figured that, of course the NCTH system was broken - we weren't using all of it. So, i'm using all of it. That doesn't mean it's "fixed" (whatever that means), it just means we're at Square One now, and we can start modifying from here.
Maps. I also wanted to re-do all the sectors. I only got a bit more than half done. But I also added a bunch more sectors - mostly water sectors in case anyone wanted to try out the scuba stuff. No enemy patrols go to the water sectors (though they can follow you there) so they can be a good place to retreat to. There is enough land for that.
I refreshed the full AV-12-BETA with both the Bobby Ray Patch and the Sector N3 Patch. Also included various smaller fixes and a new sector (N2). There were some backup files included by mistake in the first full BETA, and so this refresh is smaller in size. It also does not include Sevenfm's +AI executable, please download the latest version from the link in his forum signature. Here is the May 5th AV-12-BETA-REFRESH.7z (955 MB).
THESE PATCHES ARE NOT NEEDED FOR THE AV-12-BETA-REFRESH
Here is the Bobby Ray Crash and the Sector N3 Crash Bugs Patch together in one file along with several other fixes: AVv12-BRandN3-Patch.zip. You also need to download Sevenfm's latest executable - which I always suggest you should do anyway. Unzip this Patch into your main game folder, merging Data-AV folder and overwriting all files.

Hello again.
I hope you're fine!
Your new Maps are very nice!
I've encountered more:
- Ira complains about "Malice-Person", but Malice isn't in any of my Teams.
- Loading any of the SAFN's in .30-06 Springfield or 7,92x57 Mauser (any bought or conquered) causes an assertion failure in line 791 in File Item Types.cpp.
only cosmetically:
- Tanfoglio T95 in .45 ACP and in 10mm: Description doesn't fit.
- Colt CGL-4 GL: There isn't any description - Text says isn't sold by BR.
- The RG-6 GL loads only one grenade instead of six.
- The built in GL from Groza 7,62x39 WAP could be taken down and can't be putted back.
- The double SMG-Mag-Pouch didn't take 9mm Mags (e. g. from MP 5, FAME) as described.
Edit: Typo.
Edit: Forgotten about SMG-Pouch
Edit: My Questions for a Work-around by myself
- where do i find the Item Types.cpp File?
- where do i find the data with bobby rays inventory for debugging?

I've looked at Mercprofiles.xml: Ira now lerns to hate scope (32) in AV 1.11 she learns to hate malice (36).
In deed, Scope was at same time at Drassen Airport.
Edit:
Interesting: My order of a SAFN .30-06 from bobby rays was preloaded with eight rounds ball.
The 7,92x57 Mauser Version comes with 5 rounds ball loaded. By the way Walther Rifle 43 has the same problem.
Sadly SAFN in 7,92x57 Mauser was the favorite rifle from my pgmale technician in AV 1.11.

Quote:Sorry for confusing you! shy
Thank you for your patience.
No problem, just another day, thanks for giving feedback.
II'm beginning to think the New Attachment System bipod attachment slot is interfering with the built-in GL, causing it to disengage and then, of course, it can't be put back on. The vanilla Groza uses the old attachment system only. I'll test it by removing the NAS bipod attachment capability and see.
EDIT Yes, that was it. I noticed that UB grenade launchers had their own NAS AttachmentPoint at the end of the list. Using those attachment points instead of the old attachment entry in Attachments.xml fixes it (at least in the test I just ran). So making both old system or both new system will work for grenade launchers plus bipods (and I'll guess any other attachments that go there), but not a mix of old and new. Probably the same for all attachments that share the same attachment point.
As a side note - I happened to pick Brain for the test - basically a random click -- and he came with a detached GP-30 and no parent firearm! So I got to fix another glitch by random chance!
EDIT AGAIN: OOPS, scratch that -- gotta test it some more. Might be right. Might not be.

Hello Ed again,
I've found the 4 "%"-strings in Items.xml and exchanged it by the word "percent".
Quote:Found the 3 Trench Coats & 3 SMERSH harnesses had the wrong nasLayoutClass
Which Itemnumbers are they and which number has the right nasLayoutClass to be?
Best Regards

Thank you!
Btw. Item 2113 (SAS Vest Mk.3) has nasLayoutClass 1.
As a "LBE Container Vest" it should have 8. Is this right?
The following S&W Revolver (Item 2114) and other weapons have Class 1 too.

Has there be for every item a ItemClass and a nasLayoutClass entry?
Item 2466,
Item 2714,
Item 2746 - 2747,
Item 2749
haven't a ItemClass entry.
Item 2350 - 2374,
Item 2376 - 2378,
Item 2395 - 2400,
Item 2442 - 2445,
Item 2540 - 2541,
Item 2752
Ammo seems to be declarated with nasLayoutClass 1 too. Is that right?
I'll check Item 2300 until the last Item. Correct and upload the item.xml (4.xxx kb) here.
Is that okay?

Item 2701 = Carl Gustaf M3 isn't a multi-shot-launcher.
It's a single shot, but re loadable like the RPG-7-Launcher (Item 914 - has ItemClass 16 and nasLayoutClass entry 1) same the RPG-16 Grom (Item 915).
The Milkor MGL (Item 906 has ItemClass 16 and nasLayoutClass 2) is a multi-shot-launcher - means loaded with multiple grenades in a magazine, not a single loaded shot by shot.
So not nasLayoutClass 2. I would change it to 1?

Item 2750 = Quiver - has nasLayoutClass entry "16777216".
Should it handled like a combat pack on the hip (16) or on the back like a backpack (32)?

I'm now doing from item 1500 to last item.
Item 2224 = 6Sh92 RPK-Vest has no nasLayoutClass entry.
Same for following Items up to item 2227.
Are these LBE-Vests (8) or Camo-/Plate-Carrier-Vests/ other clothes (1)?
