I have to go with Gasket, if he is not telling you about the time he bit his own ankle, or pissing his pants, or remembering something he cannot quite remember. But there is nothing he cannot repair.
He is too funny to pass up.

Yeah,I'm giving him a chance now.....But his head sometimes hurts too much when opening some doors.....
Changing the subject a bit:
In fact,if you give him a little training,Razor becomes a killing machine. So does Haywire... :axe: :rifle:

My order of funny guys:
Coming in at number 3 is Hamous - "Naughty Man! Bye Bye Naughty Man!"
at number 2 is Haywire - "Time to kick some ass" [his other lines can crack me up as well]
But number one is Gasket - "I just pissed my pants" [that had me falling off my chair laughing the first time I heard him say that] :rulez:

Malice is hilarious. He's a solid cheap merc early on, but his low Wisdom hurts. In 1.13, though, he'll gain Wisdom to make him better over time. I use him the whole game now. His reaction on first seeing a Crepitus is awesome.
"Hey! I knew a dancer had something like that once. It was smaller, though, oui, much smaller, you could crush them with your finger."
Or when he's taking heavy fire, "I think they know where I am, en!" Just the way he says it cracks me up every time.
Is there a way to go through the voice files and play people's lines outside the game? I imagine there must be.

Yes, Malice is lot of fun, especially for a French like me, with his french/english mix :placard:
The other funny ones for me : Barry, Sidney, Igor, Buns.
You can hear all the lines of every character in the game, here is the way :
- Load any savegame, go to Tactical.
- CTL + GABBI -> CTL B -> F11 -> select a character in the top right section.
- Click on the bottom right box "Start merc talk".
- Use Left/Right arrows to navigate between lines.

Been playing with Fidel again in my last game. I had forgotten how funny he is. Searching for bugs, "where are those illegal alien bugs hiding." The classic "get shovel!!" on enemy death, and last but not least, as there are many many more, on blowing off an enemies head, "no need for hat no more." LOL!
On a side note, his 71 wisdom is kinda nice. I have had em strictly practice mechanics, while the rest of the team trains milita, and repairs items. After 25 days in my new game, I have em to 48 mechanics already. He has really never been able to compliment my teams in the past, while holed up in a sector before, just some food for thought.
Also, Gasket on sighting an enemy. Somebitches, is a riot. :placard:

Yeah, you gotta love Malice. And I actually don't mind his low wisdom. It's not like I'd ever use him for anything except fighting, and his stats are already more than good enough for that. Plus, marksmanship improves rapidly anyway.

Unpack the speech.slf in your Data folder. Of course, the files have names as telling as 001_005.wav, but at least the first three digits stand for the number of the merc the files are for, which means you can find out to which one they belong using Proedit. (For example, 001_005 means it's one of Blood's files.)
I'd use Dragon Unpacker for that, by the way.

Malice is funny as hell, the wisdom is a bummer though, took me 2 solid months to move his str. from 89 to 90 weighed down at 150%, and training it at every chance. I dont know french, but he sounds pretty cool, with his comments, and Ira can go to hell for not liking him..

Yeah, but he already starts at 89. Even if you take the time to train physical stats, comparable mercs in the same price range like Buns or Meltdown, not to mention Numb, will take forever to catch up with him.
Of course, there's Blood, but he starts out with somewhat weak marksmanship.
Anyway, it's probably a matter of your preferred playing style. If you usually storm Meduna after little more than a month, which I do, all that wisdom 55 means is that you can't develop him into a mine spotter or paramedic, tasks that the other mercs I mentioned can perform just fine, and his physical stats make up for that.
