My version of crash proof ironman is to quicksave (and only quicksave) right before end turn every turn. This way I can always roll back a crash but I often don't have a choice (temptation) to do things differently if I don't like what happens during the AI turn. Good tactics are still required.

I wouldn't mind a difficulty setting that would only allow you to save (for example) 2 times per sector battle.

Not as hardcore (and frustrating) as Ironman, but still challenging since you would have to manage your saves during battles carefully.

So you want to call this Iron Man Light mode?
I still cannot understand why people want to run Iron Man mode without the save limitation..


You can call it whatever you want that's not the point...

And as for me i DON'T want to run Iron man mode. What i said was that i wouldn't mind having another extra difficulty setting to choose from besides Iron man.

In Ja2 vanilla there is an extra difficulty,it is a timer,for Players Turn there is limited time to make turn,why this got removed in 1.13?

That is a good question. It still exists in multiplayer.

Is there a way to bring that extra difficulty back?

I remember playing limited timers in Vanilla, but T_Bolt is right it is not a feature in 1.12 (Gold).

As it stands now, in multi-player, the timer is definable to be whatever the user deems.
