This is a little thing I've been working on trying to learn the NCTH code. The idea is that you feed all the parameters to the system like shooter data, shooter distance, weapon data, target data, and the requisite CTHConstants and STOMP skill settings, and it _should_ calculate the exact same muzzle sway / CTH values that the game would.
The primary purpose of this tool would be for people to gauge the effect of certain attributes and settings on the ability to shoot, so as to balance weapon stats better under CTH.
The secondary, and more nefarious, purpose of this tool is for me to tweak the CTH code in a way that makes more sense, with the hope of eventually porting it back to the game.
As this is a side project that I've been working on on top of my regular job that is on crunch, there are no deadlines or milestones for this little tool.
There are numerous possible scenarios that this tool cannot simulate. It also cannot automatically compute all the attachments or gear you could be wearing to boost your CTH. However, there are fields that users should be able to adjust to enter the aggregated values of bonuses from attachments or gear. To be frank, the biggest modifier under NCTH is still your scope.
The circle in the middle is a gauge on your shot aperture at NORMAL SHOOTING DISTANCE as well as current target distance. I intend to overlay an approximate size of a game soldier head-on in the targeting circle so it's easier to compare the relative shot chance. Right clicking in the center circle currently adjusts your aim clicks.
