Can anyone please help me,

I havent been able to get my JA to work everytime i try run the program
I get a fatal error

Hello SaintK and welcome to the forum,

In fact a problem with the fonts happens relatively often (even if the LARGEFONT1.STI file is the undisputed number #1 Wink

).

You can try the following:
Download and extract the content of the Fonts JA2 Gold .zip file directly into the main directory of your JA2 Gold install!

If your problem still exists your install is probably corrupt and you should try it with a reinstall.

There are a few interesting mods around there even exclusive for JA2 Gold so I want to use the opportunity to recommend at least three of them. Smile

Thanx for the help, But all that happens now is that
The screen goes black then it just goes back into windows

Im runnning win 7 64x if that makes a diff

Hello Saint,

Well, I'm still using XP for playing around with my JA2 installs. You should try it with a complete new install, but please be aware to install your JA2 Gold NOT in the Program Files directory as mentioned in a few other threads!

Install to somewhere non-protected (e.g. C:\Games\). Program Files and personal folders (My Docs etc...) are off limits.
