Suggestions for a good C++ book would be most appreciated!

I have some experience with Basic and have dabbled in some other languages. It's fun to read the JA2 source code and I can even make sense of it, at least where my math skills aren't challenged overly much.

I've been able to add a few features to the game, but my dirty hacks are certainly not fit for the public at the moment. Also, C++ string variables and pointers are really making my head hurt. Embarrassed

Do you know of any books that could improve my C++ skills, preferably in a coding style that matches the JA2 source code?
