Can a Merc make a Rod And Spring? And what would I use to do it? I using Ver. 1.13, build 4870. And where could I find out this important info without bugging all you busy folks?

Yes, you need a rod and a spring, check the XMLEditor.

Capt'n, that's not what I meant
Can a Merc create a R&S from other items?
And here's another question: I would like to add a trigger group to my Diemaco C7A2. Could someone explain to me, as one would explain to a shell-shocked Gumpy, how to do this using the XML editor. I would also like Bobby Ray's to begin carrying them. I've used the XML editor three times to add them to his inventory but to no avail. I'm playing realistic, tons of guns, experienced. Thanks to all in advance.

In that case, no.

0)Open the editor
1)Go to Items->Show->All (or ->By Class->Guns)
2)Find the Diemaco
3)Double click to bring up the properties of that item
4)Select 'Attachments' tab
5)Under 'Available', use the last dropdown menu (the empty one) to select the trigger group
6)Click 'OK'
7)Save (!)

As for the TG not showing up on BR, uncheck the SciFi flag, either on that property page under 'Attributes' - 'Flags' or directly in the table view (right click -> enable editing, then untick that box)

Help!
I tried to be cute and added trigger group to the default attachments, the one under the 4x scope to my C7A2. But when I started the game, I have a big red NADA instead of a icon. Even when I went back and changed it to nothing. What gives?

I Fixed it.
Still can't add a trigger group to the weapon. It shows up in the drop down menu, don't have to add it. Can't seem to add trigger groups to the game. SciFi is unchecked, TonsO'Guns is checked. Any thoughts?

Did you add the trigger group in the list below "Default Attachments" for the Diemaco?

Strange... He said he plays 4870. I do, too. Last time i've found a "rod", my Gasket had no trouble making Rod&Spring by combining a spring with said rod - thus adding 1 more rod&spring item to other 4 he had on him by the time (yeah, my Gasket has a secret hobby of making and collecting rod&springs every game i play lately, and he's very reluctant to give away one of those to someone else who's looking to upgrade some rare gun with it). Rods are very few in the game, and springs ain't exactly common either, but i'm sure it's possible to make at very least 6 rod&springs in total during the course of a game, possibly up to 10 or even more if being very thourough.

He asked whether he can create RS from items other than a rod and a spring, which isn't possible without modding.
