So this kinda will be like a journal of my campaign and will post any bugs or any other stuff that does not work properly or if the game crashes or not.
So right of the bat:
- i'm using JA2 Gold Edition
- upgraded to version 1.13
- using the feature mercs from former JA games
- using the last sci file dated of 16 of July of 2013.
- also playing in sci-fi mode.
- also using expert mode.
- not using the food feature because i'm not pretty confident i can do it right, will try it at a later date.
- also twicked a bit the initial settings.

Journal of the campaign
Ground 0 : accepted mission from Enrico Chivaldori. Goal get rid of is bitch wife that overthrow him in the past and planned to have in assassinated by Miguel Cordona.
Initial mission: get a letter from Enrico to Miguel.
Day 1
- arrived at Omerta by helicopter in A9.
- destroyed the scouting force that was there
- found Fatima, speak with her and go to next sector in A10 were the rebels were hidding out.
- after some initial strife Miguel popped him and joined the rebels as reinforcement.-Mission of letter completed.
- new mission: rebels need food from Drassen.
Also my initial team is now: Speck, Spooky, Stogie, Gaston, Cougar, Frederick Biggins, Tex, Numb and Leon Roachburn from MERC. Blood, Boss, Doc, Gus Tarballs, Hector Alvarez, Ice Magic, Snake, Shadow, Scully, Raven, Raider, Monk, Rudolf and Laura from AIM. Recruited in the rebels: Ira Smythe. Personnal mercs i created: Rebecca "Revy", Sister Eda, Rosalita Cisneros "Roberta" yep from the ones familiar with it i'm pretty huge fan of a japanease anime called Black Lagoon. Based on my close friends: John Charles de Saint-Simon "Seomis" (obviously myself), Jairome Lopez de Perera "Riaj", Daniel Marcellinus "Leinad" and Jean Pierre Bernard de Kotro "Mirtoc". As i say i twicked the early settings of the game changed a few things that's the reason why some names appear on this list.
- Jumped in the rout to Drassen using the woods.
- Enemy ambush in A13.
- Sadly Ira was taken out by machine gun fire, that pissed me of but i was kinda expecting it but not so soon. Twicked the chance of enemy ambushes to maximum maybe i should't have done it...
Day 2
- Arrived at Drassen airport, pretty hard battle, reinforcements appeared from the south when i was in a winning strike.
- Due to that fact Gaston Cavalier from MERC was taken out when they arrived. F.... this is more hard than i expected.
- After having almost lost other mercs i was able to defeat the new force without having any cheat code do it for me or extra casualties.
- Leran that there is a chopper pilot around that is a enemy of Deidranna need to found the guy.
- Invaded C13 Drassen.
- Another hard fight and again the reinforcements screwed me big time this time they take out Scully, one of the best in my team, need to rest for a while after this honestly and rethink my attack strategy.
- After another hard fight during night time, yep that's the strategy waiting for night and then take the bastards by surprise i liberated the sector.
- Talked with the bar guy and learn that there are other five around the country and are all quintuplets. Dafuck!!! (obviously i know all this stuff just trying to make like it was the first time i play the game).
- Doreen is a bitch and uses kids as slave labour, thinked of killing her but then thinked better, send Bigging talk to her and he actually persuaded her to stop doing that crap. Biggins you are the men even for a old-man Smile.
And that's it stopped the play.
Until this point no crash in battle or no frozen time or crap like that. SO far all is working fine minus the fact that in two days i lost three mercs. But i guess the changes i did on the files and setting dificulty were also part of the equation. See you soon on my nest post.

Second part, actually is the stuff i finished play a little while, my former post was done yesterday night.

Day 2 continues
- Speck ended up literally having is mind blow up during the fucked up battle for Drassen mine. Literally this blow my mind also noneless i figure nights attacks is the way to do stuff.
On a note i dont know about Speck stats but i must say the way he is it kinda sucks. From long range he dont get one right even from medium range the same happens some time only in close range he kinda as efficiency however perhaps is stats should be changed a little to make him in the least more usefull in actual combat. This is mainly the reason why the guy ended up him blowminding way.
- After that i erased all the enemies on map, this time no reinforcements come i guess i already dispatched then previously.
- Then in Drassen mine D13 i talked with Fred is the head miner so the miners will work for us instead of the bitch. Then talked with the second quintuplet, the barman, it was a nice talk but the barman become even more important if you play with the food option enabled because they sell us food to feed the mercenaries besides that they have the usual alcool stuff if you are on it but i dont recomend it a merc that is drunk usually gets in depressive mode and sometimes their stats drop but you coul try it just for fun. Smile
- Then decided to train militia and mobile militias on the three sectors of Drassen B13, C13 and D13. The ones doing the stuff were for regular militia, that stays in town: Spooky and Stogie, Cougar and Hector and Laura and Ice. Ah yes it's best to put then to work in teams it kinda speeds up the process. The same applies to mobile militias however you must have a special cara on the merc you put in commanding of the training if he sucks the militias will suck also if he is good they will be good. Also not all the merc have the ability to train they need a certain amount of leadership. Obviously you can change this on the game stats but i prefered not keeps the game more real for me. The remaining mercs were doing some leadership training and the one with a mechanical kit put then in repairing stuff. Ah yes jammed weapon in a battle could end up pretty bad for your time believe me so each time you conquer a town i highly recomend you spend some training repairing stuff is better for your merc and for the overall mission.
- then in D13 met Devin, at the bar, is a guy that sells you explosives if you want.
- in C13 Drassen town proper i also met a shaddy character by the name of Carmen Dancio, is a bounty hunter and he offers you info on terrorists that are hidding in Arulco he also will divide the profits if you bring him the head of any one of those terrorists. He give a disk and then you can read the info on your info on the laptop pretty usefull but very shaddy and i guess i need to decapitate the guys war is a bitch right?
- also at the same time met the priest Miguel talked. The guy was asking for Ira i guess info is not released very easely in Arulco.
- E12 my mobile militia stopped a attack of deidranna forces and they did it again in D12. Then in D14 my mobile militias were wiped out.
- Then the counter-attack of Deidranna happened in Drassen mine, see i told you militias were very usefull if i did not have any i will have been wiped out by the elevate number of enemies that take part on it.

Day 3 starts.
- started when my mobile militas scored a victory in B9.
- the guys of the insurance also send me money for Scully death. Yes you should have your AIM mercs insured because eventually you will receive part of the money you spend hiring then after they die so it's a good ideia to have a insurance policy. A shame Merc dont have it.
- Also in this day the food reached Omerta--so mission of food solved.
- B14 Spooky quited the team it appears he dont go well with Shadow. Well next time i will put then on diferent teams. Oh yes you have to have some attention on the ones your mercenary likes and dislikes this important in terms of moral and on the teams working out together.

Day 4 starts
- Not much happened but i do conquered Sam site in D15, yes my friends, the bitch as missils and this also serves as a base so taking it out is very important. The battle was hard but again my mobile militias were important on the overall battle.

Day 5 starts
- again the day open with a victory for my mobile militias in F12.
- ended up finding the pilot in E14 then he asked for a escort to the airport.
- A10 at the same time another group was taking with Miguel and ended up recruiting Dimitri Guzzo, is one of the rebel soldiers like Ira, i do hope he was more luck than her. Also Miguel offers the guy after receiving the food. So only after the food quest you should go there then you have a extra merc if you are kinda shorthanded like me at this time.
- B13 the group with Skyrider, that's the chopper pilot name, arrived at the airport. He says he will help us out for a certain fee. So is usefull to have him as a non-official member of the team in that way you can use the chopper for future operations. Also he only flies on green sectors in red ones he does not enter, this means that there are other sam sites that you need to take out to be able to use the chopper all around the country and Skyrider does says that he will never drop up in that sectors. Obviouly you could change that on the stats but like i say i prefer in this way. If he was a soldier no issue but the guy is a civil so this decision kinda adds more realism to the stuff.

And that's it. probably only tomorrow i will post another post on this. So have a nice one. As for bugs no issue so far except that my personnal opinion regarding Speck.

After all i ended up playing a little more this afternoon, the bloody heat unabled me to go out so probably i will go out during night so this is the result of my journal.

Day 6
- C9 my full-team of mercs (all of then) and a bunch of mobile militia finished off a advanced force in the route for San Mona since the battle was quite fierce i needed to put my team in rest so nothing more happened in this day.

Day 7
- Arrived at San Mona in C6.
- Met Alberto, another of the quintuplets he runs the bar in San Mona. Like i say if you are playing with food enable it will come handy.
- Met Angel, he own a leather shop, after talking to him he tries to sell you a leather vest say now and then he will ask for a favor. He wants her sister Maria, apparently she was kidnaped and is forced to work as a prostitute in a brothel in the town run by Madam Layla, the employer of Kingpin, the big ass criminal mind in Arulco that works alongside the queen.
- Go to C5, entered in the brothel, got a key try to now get cought by the soldiers there if so you will be roosted pretty hard. and ended up rescuing Maria with a small team of 4. No i did not send all the mercs there if something did go wrong they will have a hard battle and that is unecessary believe me.
- C6 returned to Angel he reveals that Kingpin as alot of money hidden in San Mona mine. He also give you the leather vest for free and the deed for the shop as a reward.
- Go to C5 with all my mercs. There i did go to the tatoo shop of Kyle Lemmons, is a very colorful NPC, you will see that when you talk to him one advise send a guy to talk to him is alot better. During the talk he reveals that he dreams of having a leather shop. Give him the deed of Angel you will get good money for it and it could be handy.
- Met Micky in that bar, is a hunter that come to Arulco to gather bloodcat pelts he will buy it any bloodcat part if you have any. Also usually you found him in bars all around the country it all depends on your luck if you find him or not.
- Met Carlo, another of the brothers he works in C5, this is the place were is Kingpin base so if you are in bad terms with him is very bad ideia go there with a small force.
- D5 underground, San Mona mine, got all the cash of Kingpin. Fuck him the guy is a drug dealer, a pimp and works for the bitch so i say fuck him. Got a good cash in the process and better he does not have any guards there so help yourself out.
- Marched north with a divided force, goal attack Chitzena, sadly one group stayed behind two members of the group enter in sleep mode. Also note this you need to have in mind the fatigue level of your group i forgot that basic rule and thus a enemy force arrived in the meantime. In the process Snake was killed in battle right after woke up. So learn with my mistake and check always the fatigue level of your forces. It was a small group but i was able to turn around the situation and wiped out the nemy group in the end.

Day 8
- Entered in secto A2, northern part of Chitzena won a solid victory.
- There i talked with Yanni he requested for a chalice that is in a museum in Balime a city in the south of the country. Yeah right...eventually i will get the chalice but not for now i'm not crazy enough to pull that out in this level of dificulty.
- Attacked B2 after that also a solid victory during night. Like i say the best way to go around this game is with night attacks. Believe me it's effective Smile. Liberated Chitzena.
- Talked with Carl, the head-minner now the precious metal of Chitzena will also come to us and not for the bitch.
- Found Manuel Rivas, yes is the husband of Fatima and he only appeared in normar UB. However in this version he also appear in the game and can be recruited so i got a new merc on the team. Local recruitment rules and is very handy Smile. The only thing that bothers me is that is speech is the same as in UB but noneless that's not so relevant. I know from other games that if we go to Omerta with him and talk to Miguel and Fatima it's not important. My personnal sugestion i think that in the future you could add a bonus to the ones that make Manuel talk with Miguel or Fatima perhaps more loyalty in the towns we own it could be a good reward in game.
- Also found T-Rex, is one of the terrotists that Carmen wants, killed him, decapitate him and then will hand the head to Carmen when i found him next time. You gain money for that dont forget. Also i'm kinda bothered because it was hard to kill him. I change the NPC stats in game files perhaps that was also a bad ideia because the guy almost killed off one of my IMP's.
- Put men training militia and mobile militia in Chitzena. Also put the ones with repair kit doing some repairings and put the others learn leadership. Also my gun jammed during the battle so dont forget when you conquer a city or have alot of battles is better to repair stuff. If you are stuck with a jammed weapon in combat you are screw really bad luckly the guy with a jammed weapon is pretty good in hand to hand combat so i solved the issue (ah yes it was the weapon of the character that represents me...long live savate i say).
- finished paying the mercs of MERC on the site. From time to time you should go to MERC site because you need to pay the mercs services if you dont do it they will leave the field complaining about not being paid.

Also minus the stuff with Manuel that was kinda a sugestion no bug or crash happened so all is fine so far. And this finishes my writting for the day. Maybe tomarrow i will play a little more and have another entry on the journal. Hope you enjoy this and perhaps think on my sugestions regarding Manuel bonus for talking with Miguel or Fatima.

Again i return with one more entry please bare with me for a while Smile

Day 8 continues
- C2 my mibile militia is wiped out by a bunch of elite forces send by the bitch.
- B3 my other squad of mobile militia score a overwhelming victory over the bitch forces.
- Also received the insure for Snake, see like i say it compensate have your AIM members insured.
- C7 my mobile militia sxored another victory the same happened shortly in B1.

Day 9
- Opens with a victory of my mobile militia in E3 followed by another victory in C9.
- Also finished repairing stuff in Chitzena and finished training normal militia there.
- Put the team doing some leadership training during the time other were sleeping i will not repeat the same mistake that lead to Snake's death because i plan to send my mercs on attacking next day during night time.

Day 10
- From D5, San Mona, i received a mail of Kingpin demanding is money. My answear screw you if you want it get it back by your own hands bitch.
- My mobile militia scored a victory in D4, San Mona mine.
- D2 the day of the attack arrived. Get all my squads there and attacked alongside a group of mobile militia. Result: Tropical, Sam site was conquered. See what i say about mobile militias they are very usefull so it's worthwhile to spend money training then.
- Also Skyrider send word that he found the location of the remaining Sam sites: one south of Chitzena (the one i just conquered), another south of Camvria and the last one in the capital Meduna. Pretty usefull the guy dont you think?

Day 11
- Nothing much happened my forces were recovering in the Sam site.
- Noneless contracted from AIM: Corp. Len Anderson, Maj. Spike Scallion and Carl "Reaper" Sheppards and insured then just in case i'm preparing the attack on Cambria and that i bet will not be a walk in the park.

Day 12
- My mobile militias scored two victories in E3 and C7.
- Squads on route to Cambria.

And for now that's it. So far no bug appeared. Since i already say that the tourist mission in Chitzena is not working i decided that i will not bother with then. After all if they are under a sector i control they are protected so uncle sam will not bombass me because i did not protected is countryman. Black humor i know but sometimes is needed. Smile

Well this will be a small post i dont know if i will be able to play the game more today so noneless here is another entry on my campaign journal.

Day 13

- Yes i attacked right after midnight sector F8, Cambria hospital along with a bunch of mobile militia that tagged along in the attack.
- The battle started well and between my squads and the militias we did take out the watchers in the northern side of the hospital.
- I divided my teams one teams was to enter the hospital crush the resistence inside and then attack the remaining forces from behind. My outside groups will be bait for the rest of the garrison in this sector.
- The plan started well and my inside team did wiped out the enemies that were inside however they were injured in the process to their speed lowered.
- Then the first death a motherfucker elite soldier stabbed Magic to death. The moral in my forces dropped specially on Ice and Blood that are close pals of Magic. As you see moral is a important factor in playing this game. Noneless i extracted revenge and one of my mercs did blow the head of this bastard later on.
- Also is quite annoying because this bastards are always using grenades fucking cowards!
- Then when it was almost settled and three anemies remained i was on route to surround then outside, then the game interrupts my move and another fucking elite stabbed Doc to death. That was bad it dont have the same effect as Magic being killed however this is bad for my war effort because i did loose one of the doctors of my force.
- After this i finished the remaining three guys remaining and take control over the sector. On the aftermatch of this battle several members of my teams were in low moral so i dunno if i put then to rest for a couple of hours or if i pursue on attacking next sector in Cambria, later i will decide on this.
Again no bug found and i did see that there is a latest sci released today. So this means the tourist issue is fixed? I hope so but i dont think i can download it and have that problem solved because i'm already playing a game. Noneless if the bug is fixed to tell me.
And that's it. If i have time i will play more today and then will make another entry if not have good one.

Well i actually pull this out during lunch time so before i go i will post a brief summary about what happened.

Day 13 continues

- Well i kinda decided to attack Cambria university after the battle of the hospital. It was not a easy victory but in this my mobile militia did play a major role on winning.
- The moral of my squad got up and it was very good also before i ended things a small group of elite forces reinforcements arrived, they were unlucky i have a great part of my mercs ready to switch sector after ending this one so they arrived in that spot. Well it was not a ambush from my part but in a way it kinda feel like one no? After this sector F9 was under my control.
- Then i entered in G9, Cambria town right of the bat i was in combat mode because of my mobile militias that already entered from one place were they were face to face with some scouts of the garrison in the town. Then encountered a assassin send by Kingpin. Lucky i was in combat mod already so i send Jim in a straigh trip to hell without is head Smile that was very fun. But i must say this motherfucker was tough, maybe due to the fact i changed the game stats.
- Scored a total victory in the sector, no casualties and moral boosted up again.
- Attacked then G8, the other half of Cambria town.
- Again i was in combat mode due to my mobile militias and surprise encountered another assassin of Kingpin. Damned that winny little bitch does miss is dirty money. Noneless i dispatched the bitch called Olga and that solved the issue.
- Then i conquered the secto, it was hard, several mercs were injured so i guess they need some rest now.
- However a bad thing happened at the end Col. Frederick Biggins died out by mustard gas poisoning. Sadly after Doc be killed i did not have any other guy with a first aid kit or medical kit, lucky i found some in this sector and give then to some mercs with medical skills until i can hire a doctor or go to drassen and buy stuff from Bobby Ray's site that's the way. However why the bitches of the elite forces only use and have alots of grenades? That's a pain in the ass i must say.
- Also after ending this i talked with a women called Martha she wants that he look for her son that run away from home. So another mission received: - to found the runaway Joey.
- Also in town i found a terrorist bitch called MoM. No matter i killed her and decapitated her. When i found Carmen i guess the guy will be very happy.
- Finally i watched Elliott being bitch-slapped again i always feel bad for this guy. However it appears a scientist that works for her decided to flee so i need to found the guy and see what's going on there.

Ah and that is for now. Now i'm going out. See you soon and no bug so far in game all is runing smothly i must say this is quite surprising not so long i have a great amount of crashes.

Well again another entry in my journal.

Day 13 continues

- The battle for Cambria mine, in H8, rages on. when the garrison was almost wiped out one of the remaining forces was able to stabb Reaper to death, i killed the guy right after that and when i was about to finish off the last one reinforcements arrived and interrupted by turn. Right after that they machinegunned Hector Alvarez to death, that was unexpected. Noneless i was able to finish this force and conquered the sector. Mobile militia again played a important role in this battle so Cambria was liberated i now control in the least half of the country.
- Talked to Oswald and put the miners on Cambria working for me.
- In the end decided to pay out my debt to MERC.
- Put guys training normal militas, mobile militias, repairing stuff and training leadership after all my squads do need a break no?
- Also before the day ended the training of mobile militias in Chitzena ended and those mercs returned to Cambria.
- Also my mobile militias scored victories in sectors H9, G7, I7, I7 and I9 all this places are around cambria.

Day 14
- mobile militias scored a victory in G11.
- Met a guy called Perko in G9 Cambria he repairs stuff could be handy in the future.
- Also Carmen was at the bar in G9, talked to him and gave him the two heads that i already collected. He says to meet him in Drassen, well when i have time i will be there.
- Also speak with Keith, that runs a store there. He asked us to take care of a group of hillbillis east of Cambria---so new mission received.
- Also the payout for Magic, Doc, Reaper and Hector arrived. Like i always say it compensate to have your AIM mercs insured.

Day 15

- Nothing much happened continue and finished the training of mobile militias, regular militias in Cambria. Also the repair stuff is done and now my teams is rested to time to go on the offensive again.

Day 16

- Rehired Spooky from MERC and hired Dr. Bernie Gloveless, Mary Beth Wilkens and Wink E. Dickerson on Merc.
- At the same time started the attack on I8, Sam site, south of Cambria.

And that's it for now. Until now regarding game play all is well so far. See you next time.

Well i downloaded the last sci from depri's i overwritted my files. So i guess i will need to check this new version. So probably i will end this topic and start a game from new.
Dunno if i should continue with this tread or not. Noneless i would like to thank you all that read or in the least take a pick on this tread. So thanks you all. If you want that i do the same with the last sci installement just let my know here.

Reennacted let's play JA2 version 1.13 for bug purposes.
So settings on the game:
- Original copy of JA2 Gold Edition
- Version 1.13 installed.
- Used last SCI file from Depri's dated of 22 July.
- Level of the game: expert
- Zombie script enabled.
- Sci-fi mode enabled.
- Merc site opens in first day but without all the mercs available.
- AIM site mercs are initially in mission in the least some are on missions.
- No merc from AIM or MERC could die in any assignement they could only die in Arulco if they are unlucky enough Smile
- Twicked a little the initial setting of the game: ambushes 100, assassins also present, terrorists all in, chance of counter attacks from the queens armies very high and not only the drassen counter attack.
- Not using the food system.

So after game start:
- I created 7 imp's that will serve as my initial force: Revy, Dutch, Benny, Rock, Rico, Eda and Yolanda. Yes they were all based on Black Lagoon characters the one with the letter to give to Miguel is dutch so as of this moment he will be the commanding officer of the expedition to Arulco.
- Recruited from MERC: It, Reuban, Razor and Haywire and from AIM Fidel, Buzz, Malice. Meltdown and Leech. It become a member of the squad of my imp's the other 8 i will call then the psychopatic squad. Psycho team no need for commander their mission simply go on rampage and start some mess were they enter.
- Recruited from AIM also: Gus, Magic, Spike, Henning, Scope, Len, Raider and Danny. This team i call it commando team. Leader Tarballs obviously.
- Destroyed the scout forces in A9. One thing zombie are a excellent addition and it's very fun to make her heads blow up after they turn into one i'm having a blast doing it.
- Then Dutch talked to Fatima and he did go with her to A10 and to rebel hidout.
- Got the letter to Miguel, first mission is done. Recruited Ira on the process.
- Returned to A9 and did recruited more 7 guys from AIM: Fox, Shadow, Stella, Jimmy, Doc, Mouse and Wolf. Well this will be scout team. Commander will be Shadow i guess.
- Divided my teams: Imp's team and Psycho team were send to A6. Goal take over Chitzena in the first days of the war.
- Team commando and scout headed to Drassen airport in B13. Defeated two patrols on the way there. Zombies continue to pop up it's fun to blow their head off.
- Attacked airport. Bad luck for Ira, got killed in the process even if it was night, turned into a zombie that kinda annoyed me because i was forced to shoot her down and blow is head up. Reinforcements arrived from Drassen. Very hard battle.

Well i downloaded the last sci from depri's i overwritted my files. So i guess i will need to check this new version. So probably i will end this topic and start a game from new.

@Parkan: if i could i would do it. Sadly i cannot my graphic is not top. The one that i had just burned out during winter in a thunder storm and i dont have the cash to get one new one so. Noneless i think i will not make amy other entry until the moment the native guides become available then i will do another one day by day until the end of the campaign. I decided to postpone this until all that is cleared out and a new SCI install comes out from Depri's.

Eventually i will play a URBAn Chaos. But i do want to this test all this out in Arulco's campaign. Maybe i will go crazy and will try to play the game in INSANE MOD and see if i can survive the campaign. Along ago i did play in this mod and swear to myself that i will never do it again. However i'm quite tempted to do it after having the native guides active. I will decide later on about this when a new SCI from Depri's come out.

Well now this will be my final let's play for bug purposes for the time being.
First the way i'm playing.
- Have a JA2 Gold Edition
- Version 1.13 installed
- Latest SCI install from Depri's dated of 29 July 2013.

Settings in game
- Dificulty level: expert
- Zombie mod enabled.
- Also decided to use with food and water enabled.
- Merc site opens on day 1 but without all the mercs.
- Chances of enemy ambushes 75
- Queen can send assassins to kill me: yes.
- Enabled Drassen counter-attack and other in other sectors when i get there.
- Enabled recruitment of elite militia after day 20.
- all terrorists can be hunt down.
- Sci-fi mode obviously.
- And other twicks made on JA2 settings.

The game: campaign for the liberation of Arulco.
Ground 0.
One bitch called Deidranna toppled is husband from power and rules a small country as a perpetual dictator. The people is suffering, Enrico the former leader was suposed to be killed by Miguel Cordona is rival, however Miguel spared him and decided to allow him to go outside to exile.
Enrico contracts a mercenary. This mercenary decides to send a couple of trusted subordinates in is place and starts recruiting also in other mercenary agencies.
Enrico gave a letter to this mercenary to be handed in hands on Miguel when he meets him. The mercenaru hands over this letter to is trusted subordinate.

Day 1
- The mercenaru team arrived by helicopter in Omerta (A9). They quickly finished off the scouting force that was there from the regular arulco army.
- But then something happens and some soldiers return to life as a zombies. But after killing each of team on the head the team moves on.
- Meet with Fatima and give her the letter to Miguel.
- A10 Fatima leeds us to the rebel hideout. Meet Miguel, give him the letter and jined the rebel forces.
- Received a mission from rebels they need food from Drassen.
initial team on the field:
- a couple of Imps: Dutch, Revy, Rock, Benny, Eda, Yolanda and Rico. Yes it's 7 the game only allows 7 even if i do have the chance to have 10. dont know if is a bug or if a imp die i can build another one until i reach 10.
- from AIM i recruited: Tarballs, Scully, Magic, Kelly, Reaper, Spike, Ivan, Scope, Monk also i placed him on the same team of Laura and Rudolf this guys dislikes Ivan but if he is on the same team as Laura he kinda quites down. Lynx, Shadow, Len, Vicky, Trevor, Henning, Boss, Spam, Raven, Raider, Dr. Q and Igor.
- from Merc recruited Clyde Potter a priest can always be usefull in a war scenario besides i do need to pay him for Speck hire new mercs and unblock then so it's a good option because mainly the other guys on merc were in a way or other disliked by the guys of AIM and you dont want that because if affects moral.
- After meeting rebels i also recruited Ira Smythe.
So this is it. This is my initial setup next days i will post more on this.

Well, if posting for Bug purposes, you don't need to explain the JA2 story here, we all know it by heart probably ... Wink

To enable the missing IMPs you need to uncomment them in the options.ini; remove the ';' in front of each line:
[color:#FF0000];[/color]IMP_MALE_5 = 65
[color:#FF0000];[/color]IMP_MALE_6 = 71
[color:#FF0000];[/color]IMP_MALE_7 = 163
[color:#FF0000];[/color]IMP_MALE_8 = 164

If this is already done (but still not working) you'll have to set the values to different profiles that are unused yet.

E.g. If merc profile #65 is in use for one of the new mercs from JA1-DG, the game ignores IMP_MALE_5 so that you cannot get the 8th IMP.

There's a thread somewhere around here detailing on how to enable more than 7 IMPs even with (duplicated) voice sets:

@Sam_Hotte: i see. I did checked the ini file only imp 8 is in that circunstance so i will assume is profile is being used for something else. So i will not make any change.
I will do a experiment when one the imp dies i will try to create another one ans see if the profile of that imp is erased from the casualty list or departures or even if the new imp arrives is profile still could be visible.
Also i know that all here now the story Smile but i was kinda intented to so this in a diferent maner. But no problem. I will keep posting bugs here if i do found then.

technically i dont know if this could be considered a bug or not.
However when got into MERC site and you go recruiting the native guides from Metavira.
The bio of Elio is the bio of Juan. The bio of Juan is the bio of Wahan and when you got to Wahan you dont have any.
So Elio does not have a bio. And the other two are switched.

The Bio IDs in MercAvailability.xml are wrong by one for these three mercs. I already sent a fixed XML to RoWa.

If you want to quickly fix it in your installation you can edit the MercAvailability.xml and change the parameter for the three new natives. Just subtract 1 from the ID so Elio will have 40 instead of 41 and so on.

edit: fixed in GameDir 1718

from revision 1713 you can create a full squad of 10 IMP.It it all working in stock 1.13 mod and with Stronhman overhaul.With AFS,UC and DL mods you need made manual changes forself

I see thanks for the advise. But since i'm already playing a game with a 7 team merc well i will do it till the end.
Also one thing i noticed: about the native guides when enabled they dont have any fire weapon they only have machetes or knifes. Perhaps in the future in the least you could give then in the least a revolver. Well that's just a sugestion. When i finish this game i will post here my overall conclusion but so far all is running fine.
Sadly Elio already was a casualty that i have in a failed attempt on the sam site south of cambria. I guess the fate of the guy could not be changed even in Arulco.
Also i also finished the tourist mission so i'm looking forward to see John in the merc roster of characters.

well i actually finished the game. Let's say it was a revigorating experience. But after try out the food system i think that i will lower is specks in the future because it really makes the game pretty hard. Also the zombies were a excellent addition it makes every battle even more harder. I never had the chance to got John Kulba sadly i finished the game before he become available.
Now on to my casualty list in the end of the game. You need to remember that i was playing on expert level, that by himself makes the game harder plus the twicks i kinda did on the JA2 definitions.
From AIM:
- Spike,Trevor, Laura, Shadow, Len, Smoke, Blood, Leech, Magic, Grizzly, Lynx, Nails, Scully, Kelly, Needle, Ice, Snake, Bud, Bob, Boss, Brain, Thor, Russel, MD, Vinny, Fidel, Raider, Hitman,Danny, Henning, Stephen, Vicky, Fox, Clifford, Gus, Reaper, Static, Raven, Monk, Ivan, Spider, Malice, Scream, Buns, Lucky, Moses, Wolf, Rudolf, Bull, Hector, Gary, Barry, Carp, Meltdown, Steroid, Red, Mouse and Kaboom.
From MERC:
- Elio, Rev, Leon Roachburn, Biggins, Spooky, Cougar, Stogie, Juan, Mary Beth, Gasket, Bernie, Gaston, Eli, Dyno, Walter Yunz, Sparky, Wink, Tex, Speck, Wahan, Numb, Reuban, Lance, Gumpy, Sam Garver and Hurl.
Special NPC recruited in game:
- Manuel Rivas, Dimitri Guzzo, Hamous, Ira Smythe, Maddog, Conrad Gillitt, Dynamo, Shank.
I know it's a pretty great amounts of killed in action plus i must add my first team of 7 imp's that also died through all the mission.
So final countdown of killed: 100 killed in my side.
- Deidranna killed, Elliot killed, Joe killed, Kingpin killed, Darren killed, Madam killed and all the bums that were living in San Mona pluss the killers send by kingpin.
- Bugs destroyed and queen bug got killed.
- Time to complete the mission 50 days.

And that's it. I know there is a new sci available. I will download it and then will play with base on that. Also if i found new bugs i will post then on the main topic about the mercs of JA new mercs from JADG so i do not know if i will be using this anymore. Noneless thanks to all that read my posts.
