Greetings everyone,
The good news for IoV is, it can still be mounted on the latest revision of 1.13 exe (I've just tested it on r6618), which means that we have an easier meaning of trying bugs out.
However it has been delayed by several months, The TableData xmls are out to date and some new features cannot be supported. I tried the XML_editor but it couldn't work, which means editing xml for IOV will require a lot of work.
Add: Thanks to advices from JMith, now XML Editor can work on latest 1.13 build with IoV mod.
Add2: I also adapted Radio Operator feature items from 1.13 to IoV.
I've uploaded IoV v929 on Github, if you love this gorgeous mod, please post your advice and contribute.
PS: IoV now is a pure .xml work and does not require messing with 1.13 sourcecode.
Poke here as hard as you can
Editor1: Add news.

ParkanYour alfa version has bug with dissappearing weapons from mercs when hiring them.I made different instals of you mod and sill bug occur.Hired BOSS with colt 9sm,Sidney with sterling la2,clif with colt 9 smg.all stuff remained but weapons are lost.I even checked MAx item sizes in ja 2 option ini in all folders but still weapons are lost when hire them.Such bug occur with some other mercs too.Weapons losing.
Hello Parkan,
Great news, I've found the reason with missing starting weapons and missing ammo when ejecting from weapons too, will fix and update to Github tomorrow.
Add: I cannot fix this problem, I've already posted it here for discussion. This missing weapon and ammo problem is much more complicated than I thought.
It's a pity that no one seems to be interested in IoV lately. IoV is really not like you've thought about with too many bugs, it works fine with the latest 1.13 build and I've already made XML Editor work on it.
Edit1: Forgot to Quote.
Edit2: Missing weapon and Ammo problem cannot be fixed shortly.

How to download and play a working version of IOV v929:
First visit the link below:
This is the Github link for IOV v929b2.
In the downright part of this webpage, you'll find a botton called "Download ZIP", click this and you'll get a latest working version of IOV v929. Then unzip the content into your JA2 root dirctory, and enjoy the game.
This package is meant to work with the latest 1.13 gamedir and build, and basically you don't need to modify anything in the Ja2.ini (unless you want to play with a different map) or any other critical modifications in the Ja2options.ini to play IoV. Just remember not to modify item_size and weapon_size and IoV will work pretty OK with the latest build.
Currently there is one critical bug that is still under troubleshooting, so if you've met with missing weapons from recruiting mercs or eject mag from a weapon and get nothing, please don't be surprised, this is because some of the IOV size magazines are bugged.
Please try these and the bug will not bother you anymore:
1. Always eject bugged ammo from weapon manually, do not simply replace it with another magazine unless you know the mag inside is not bugged, or you may get crash or lose the mag.
2. If you want to play with gun using bugged mags, you can always buy them from BR and NPC, just do not remove the mag from weapon, if you do you'll get nothing.
3. If you find your mercs not having a gun after recruiting, you can either modify startinggear xml file to choose other preferred weapons with no bugged mag or you can use another starting gear choice.
Please report bugs here, I'll try to fix those that I'm capable of.
Part of the bugged magazine list:
6 rnds 12 Gauge;
32 rnds 9x19mm;
10 rnds .45ACP;
12 rnds .45ACP;
150 rnds 5.56x56mm;
200 rnds 7.62x39mm;
1/5/10/50rnds, all of .50BMG;
all of .338 Spectri;
all of .338 Norma;
all of .300;
etc.
Edit: adding bugged mag list.

GambigobillaBug reports:
1. duplicate index 364 at magazines.xml
2. Simple LAM(item 1853) has wrong image
And a little request if you still make sci-fi guns (i see there are weapons from aliens and fallout) could you please add LAPD 2019 blaster from Blade Runner. Pic in spoiler
Great! You might have just located the missing weapons and mags bug, thanks.
Unfortunately this is not the cause of missing weapons & mags bug.
I'm working on it, will update in this threat once the bug is fixed.
Fixed and synced to Github in BugFix No.3:
Fixed: Duplicate magazine index in Magazines.xml, 4.7mm 255rnds
Index-364 now moved to Index-879, all 4.7mm mags are bug free now.
Fixed: Wrong pics for Simple LAM on/off in Items.xml, index-1853 and
index-2655, now using P1item335.sti, the same as FlashLight index-876.
(Unfortunately I didn't find the accurate image for Simple LAM, please tell me the sti number if you remember which it is.)
Updated: Update Ja2_Options.ini for latest 1.13 revision.
And I'll add your request to the repository, will discuss it with IoV team (as long as they are available, hopefully).
Edit1: Reported bugs fixed.

Despite the ammo bug, for me IOV929 seems to be so great.
But when I tried to equip my mercs with some MOLLE LBE, I found that the 'Narrow Molle' slot was suitable for nothing.
I checked the xml for 'pockets'. The 'Narrow Molle' could only hold "Loading Bearings' of SIZE 49/50 while there's no LBE of such a size.
I guess it might be a bug or was I just missing something?

wolf00this is underbarel grenade launcher,but acting like stalone ...
Working on this grenade launcher, will support underbarel.
I couldn't find any grenade launcher in IOV that looks like it, please give me the full name of it. You don't need to upload any pics, if you meet with bugged guns or mags in the future, just tell me it's full name.

Noted, working on this problem.
Yeah, you are right, there is no item with size 49/50. This pocket I think is designed to hold up only MOLLE components, such as Item-Index-1717: FLC Vest. And currently these MOLLE components is mixed with other vests and pants in size. This will take some time for me to fix.
Add: Should these pouches still function as thigh packs? If not I can remove this feature from MOLLE pouch items.
Ammo bug is still not fixable currently, despite this, IoV is pretty fine, just need some catchup.

Glad to find some way to make IOV better.
And for the Narrow MOLLE pouch, as further consideration, they should still be unique that only hold MOLLE LBEs, I think. Currently the LBE system is a little bit messed due to the item size thing in IOV, it's really necessary to separate the item sizes by functions. Thus those pouch only for MOLLE could be useful in the future if the item size system be improved.

Fixed and committed in BugFix No.4. I've modified MOLLE II pouches so FLC Vest and other MOLLE II compatible vests now can hold MOLLE II pouches. And yes I shall add information in Pockets.xml so modders will understand each ItemSize's representations. Also, I can make all MOLLE pouches to be actual pouches but I'm not sure whether should I remove their "Thigh Pack" property?
Maybe should inquire DBB for suggestion if he has further arrangement for the MOLLE system and the Thigh Pack. For me, it makes the game more realistic but still to be improved by adjusting the hard-core code and UI such as adding more positions for hip pack or thigh pack. And furthermore, the best way should be that the number of thigh pack could be different with different LBE components.

Id like to give this mod a try, but I'm having difficulty finding "1.13 game_dir svn1463". I'm assuming its an older release the mod is compatible with?
