In 1.12 you could fight 3 times every other day. That was effectively $15k every other day, or $7.5k every day.

Now, in 1.13, newest build, I can only fight once ever. Is it a bug, or working as intended? Thanks!

EDIT: Here's the fix. Thanks to "Cardinal" below.

"Have one of your mercs talk to Darren during the day." Do NOT load another sector, but wait until midnight and talk to Darren again.

Extreme fighting is the buggiest thing in the game, news at eleven.

So far I've experienced:
- Darren not giving me the winnings
- During the fights everyone atacking me for no reason at all
- Freezes while waiting for kingpin
- Coming to the sector to find the bar is completely empty during fight hours
- Darren keeps giving me "Back so soon? My fighters are resting." speech for the rest of the campaign. Happenes in every playthrough sooner or later.

Be happy when it works, sooner or later it'll stop.

Yeah, in this newest build, I only got to fight twice ever. Now Darren always says "Back so soon? My fighters are resting."

I mean, I knew it was buggy in 1.12, but in this build it's completely broken. So I wasn't sure if the 1.13 developers decided to disable it....

To be fair I don't think it has anything to do with the latest build, or 1.13 in general. It's been like that for quite a while.

Usually the game lets me fight in about 3-4 tournaments before it goes FUBAR like that.
Maybe there's a way to "reset" Darren's behaviour in-game by loading the sector/talking to him at different times of day?

Perhaps.

I have been playing since '99 and have been lucky enough to never have Darren get stuck in the "Back so soon? My fighters are resting" loop.

This post is going to make me look like a snake oil peddler.

I just tried it and managed to break the loop.
Have one of your mercs talk to Darren during the day. Do not load another sector and wait til after midnight then talk to him again. That did it for me.

I have a question about Extreme Boxing, though, I couldn't find my answer on the internet : if one of Darren's boxer dies, will he respawn later ? Because I'm not good enough to take the last two, but the first one ends up dying after a few nights in a row.

No, as far as I can tell dead boxers will never respawn.

Their health should replenish, though. Check their status - if they're STRONG/HEALTHY you should be fine.

Thank you for your answer. By the way, I'm going to try your fix, Darren has been telling me for a few nights now that his boxers needed resting, and I really need the cash. I'll be back to tell you if it works for me as well !

EDIT : Worked like a charm. Darren wouldn't let us begin, waited until 21h the day after, he told me that it was "a slow night, but things would get more interesting a bit later" or something like that, and I could get back to Extreme Boxing after midnight. Looks like you found a fix. ;)

Well, not found a fix as much as found a loophole. It's actually a bit of an exploit since that way one can fight every day, it seems.
Still, that's better than never.

Kind of. I mean, the boxers do eventually die if you push them too much. Beside... 1.13 is tough. I just got kicked out of Chitzena and I'm going to have a hard time getting it back, so the money is welcome. I actually had to get rid of my IMP mercs, they costed too much.

Since this version, I have encountered this problem as well. I've never had it before. Thing is, it looks like what I experienced before was unlike what others did.

Now, I've done countless campaigns (about 6 to completion and many more that got too boring on the way to Meduna). And every single time my experience was the same:

- I'd arrive to San Mona, win 3 times. Kingpin invites me to get Chalice quest.
- Every following day, Darren would allow me to fight only once. But without any problems. I never ever encountered this "Fighters are resting" message before!

But it turns out everyone else was getting 3 times fight once per 2 days?...

PS: And yes, "talk after midnight w/o changing sectors" trick works. Thanks!
