Ready to Use Custom Laptop Background Compilations

Enjoying the game, and wanted to contribute to the community...

I searched for images on the net, edited it on PS, converted to be usable in JA2.

So I made some new laptop backgrounds you can use if you get bored with the ol' laptop background...

3 Sample pics of 31 pictures in Compilation 1

Compilation 01 - 31 laptop backgrounds

3 Sample pics of 30 pictures in Compilation 2

Compilation 02 - 30 laptop backgrounds

Instructions:
(--) Step 1 (--)
=> Choose a pic you prefer [Desktop Yxx.pcx]
(--) Step 2 (--)
=> Rename to "Desktop" or "Desktop.pcx"
(--) Step 3 (--)
=> Go to [Data folder] \ [Laptop]
or [Data-1.13] \ [Laptop]
or [Data-WildFire6.06] \ [Laptop]
or whichever mod folder you are using...
(--) Step 4 (--)
=> Paste and overwrite (no need to start a new game)
(--) Step 5 (--)
=> Enjoy JA2 Smile

Actually, the file contains several nice backgrounds, 31 in total to be precise.
But yeah, I agree with Beka and Logi, the third one is rather disturbing and probably not the best promotion.

Talking about the content of the pics... well it really seems to me that you're into some kind of "girls & guns" fetish. I dunno, but somehow it doesn't fit well into my playing-experience... :kettle:

- well guns are the theme for JA2 and the default wallpaper on WF was a girl so.. Razz

update: added compilation #2 - 30 pics inside.. hope you guys like it Smile

Ive been trying to create my own .pcx files for a desktop background but either get errors or the image comes up as colored static. Is there a proper way to set up the file in PS, does it have to be a specific size. How do you begin creating your own?

Actually figured it out. You can take any image make sure your image is W 506 x H 428 and in Photoshop change the mode to index color. Then save as DESKTOP.PCX and boom, new wallpaper. I took mine and combined it with the LaptopUI for Jagged alliance 2 by GreenEyes, but I ended up editing that as well with a new logo and green blinking lights instead of blue. I would upload the files but cant because im new here and links are disabled...also uploading. so when I can, I will.
