now, MercProfiles.xml limited 255. i think it has very limited the mod capability.
Especially when adding a character to 1.13 vanilla.

At 1.13, Many of DG mercenaries have been added, it is great.
however also it has greatly oppressed free profile number...
it seem to free id number are only few left.

I think that should this problem is resolved.

Hi Arkblade2016, welcome to the pit!

Unfortunately, while a fix sounds very simple, it has to be applied to a very large portion of the code (it is, in principle, similar to the issue with increased teamsizes). This stuff isn't hard (apart from not breaking maps and a few other savegame quirks), but a very tedious effort.

Personally, it's on my long-term plan (perhaps late 2017? 2018?). I doubt that anyone else wants to try earlier.
