I recently watched a walkthrough video - Jagged Alliance 2 1.13+TypeP+IoV+AI.
There was a very handy and beautiful interface, especially the display of weapons, the number of enemies, ammo, backpack and Log.
Make the same in the 1.13 main version, I think everyone would like it. (It looks much better than now).

Also, when selecting a character, you can also display the Battle Log to the right (Yes, and a large icon of weapons, along with the number of enemies would also fit on the right - there is free space)

Features that I noticed
- The interface is optionally adjustable in the menu
- Interface of the weapon (on the left), his overheat, the number of enemies, the number of rounds
- Weapon interface can be replaced by a statistic of the selected character or the game Logs

- Interface additional buttons and settings (right)
For example spy mode, reset the backpack, change the panorama to sunglasses, visualization of a mercenary, change the laser for a flashlight. Also a bunch more buttons options: Character Skills, inventory, a list of all the hotkeys, etc.

- Extended menu on the right button (optional)
Added useful buttons, change of sight (optics, calimator, or mechanical), also can be button to open menu with a bunch of other actions, button to climb the roof and the button to climb through the window

- Sighting interface
Shows the armor of the enemy, the type of sight used

- New feature to inspect the enemy, depends on visibility level and distance (can be used to recognize unprotected body parts)
You can see weapons, grenades, armor, etc.
Health and Stamina
Window with things appears instead of the interface with the weapon

That's a tweaked version of 1.13 by author seven. He is working with the version 7609 of 1.13 and is making improvements to the AI, Interface, Features and more. Most common name for this project is "7609 + AI".

For reasons he left this community a while back, so he won't post here at the moment. If you are interested in this 7609+AI project by him, I suggest to look at his youtube videos about it (search: sevenfm 7609+AI). He is still working on this and has added links to his yandex-drive there (including an english version).

For most of the 7609+AI it's just the exe you need to replace for any mod based on 7609-version of 1.13 (that's the vast majority of mods). He also provides Modpacks for his project, that's the easiest way to get started and they contain all stuff not in exe as well (like, the interface obviously needs some graphics in GameDir as well, etc). This will include TypeP and many others.

If you are able to speak russian, you can also check the russian JA2-forum (A.I.M), seven should be still active there. The access to this site seems to be blocked from my country, so you have to give it a try yourself if you like.

Yes, I talked to him. First I found that Russian forum. I thought about playing the RU version but I play solo 1st character and thought. That too smart AI will ruin everything.
In general this interface is a strong improvement in the game. I hope to see similar in the main unstable version 1.13 (left to repeat, make similar)
All the more so SEVEN takes innovations from the new unstable versions in their version.

Well, I think the initial purpose of the +AI project was to make the AI smarter. You can try a lower difficulty setting.

I'd love to see some of his improvements in main trunk as well (like spreading fire, etc.). But for a whole plethora of reasons I deem that rather unlikely anytime soon, to put it mild. The code is free available for anyone, but you know, in the end someone actually got to do it.
