I used to use the GABBI cheat in JA2 sometimes to check out theories. Later there was a similar one for JA2UB (but not GABBI) but I have forgotten what it was. I have version 1.01 and when searching the internet for this cheat I keep getting the following:

JA2UB version 1.06 is required
then you can use the GABBI cheats

A search of the internet does not appear to have a 1.06 patch for UB. Any help would be appreciated.

no is the answer. it just makes the cheat like JA2 1.06. All that & I can't get it to work. Says game not present in memory??? means testing my work the hard way although I did get UB Money to run which helps a bit. any ideas kids?

Hello JA-community,

I have an important request. The account of a friend in the German forum is caught by the administrator, because he published the "ub101noCD"-patch in a thread. So you can play Unfinished Business without the original CD in the drive.

@ all: Do you know if it is a

The legality depends on the country. Here it is perfectly legal to make a copy of the game (movie, music CD etc.) for your own needs. It is also legal (well at least not illegal) to use a no-CD crack. The act that is illegal is if you use a pirated copy and use a no-CD crack.

Use quite a few of them myself, no need to have a CD/DVD in the drive to be worn out (this is of course with the legal CD/DVD in my possession).

But yes posting them on a forum is grounds for a warning/ban since it is: 1. Probably against forum rules. 2. Illegal in some countries. 3. The forum does not want to be associated with it.

Yeah most frustrating... however I set all novice maps to one lone admin wally for now while I'm testing other things... sped things up & then some!

Yea, a no-CD crack can be used legally to preserve your disk from "excessive use" (putting it everytime you need to play a game). It's a good idea.
