Does anybody know what determines if you meet Tex or John. Do you have to be in Varrez before day 5 or so to meet Tex or is it really random.
My first few tries I met Tex every time, didn't even know john could be in the game as well, now I online get John.

In my experience, you get Tex if you start a fresh game, and you get John if you import a saved JA2 game (although I suppose your dealings with John in that game may affect whether he's available).

Thanx but which one do you typically hire. John has very high mark. but is so slow. Tex on the other hand is faster but has stupid guns and mark. I haven't figured out which one is better, who has?

I just got that. I had Igor in my team and suddenly john leaves apparently he doesn't like russian people.
