The exact error message is:
"runtime error: "Could not load map file F6.DAT"".
The message appears on the loading screen of the sector, with "Press ESC to exit".
It's followed by a segmentation fault.

The last log message before the exit is:
Assertion Failure [Line 271 in Build/Editor/LoadScreen.cc]

I use svn release 4833 with my two main patches applied on it.
It works with release 0.10 customized with the same patches.

The editor can't load the map either.

It may be another "levelnode" error, but it seems that it is in the map itself this time.

*EDIT 2008-12-17*
F6, K13, H15.

As you suspected, it's another instance of overlapping objects. This time it's a rock, which is more than one tile large, which tries to occupy the same tile as a tree. There are even four such problems on this map. Maybe the only way to solve this, is to suppress these errors - or replace the defective map.

There may be more "wrong" maps in the game.

Ideally, the game and the editor should be able to load such maps. And the editor should save them too as they are if it can't discard the conflicting objects. But it should prevent me from adding more conflicts when I am drawing a map.

I implemented a workaround for this problem in r4861: When loading a map, failure to add an object is ignored. Sorry for the long delay.
