Usually when using my NVG III's at night, (of course), there's a halo of light around my merc that's using them. Now I don't seem to have this. They seem to be working, I spot the bad guys, but no light around my merc's. Any thoughts? I'm kinda "in the dark here." Smile

You may have accidentally unticked merc lights up in movement box: Options.

Lights & lighting effects are also known to fail if you add things like maps after the start of new game.

Well I checked the merc light up option and I checked it, turned it on. Still no halo, and I didn't add any maps. Kinda weird. . .

Is there any way to switch those off at all times, btw?
I find it annoying to not see the actually lighting conditions...

Deselect the "Merc ground lights" option. It can also be toggled from the keyboard in tactical at any time by pressing "G".

Doesn't it only affect the lighting during movements? Because if I do so, I still get the halo when standing still.

The "halo" of light only appears when you stop moving.

So...now that we're already talking about this: Is there any way to disable that 'halo' completely, so it doesn't even show when standing still?

If you turn off the groundlight effect it shouldn't be visible.
