... cause your country is not represented properly on the ja-roster - want to change that? - want a m*e*r*c, a.i.m. or imp of your nationality? want to volunteer?

1. download gpV.7z (general purpose Voice) from here - it's an excel sheet that containes all lines for m*e*r*c, a.i.m. and imp - personel
2. fill the column 'lines by (insert your name here)'
3. pm me (please use a topic like '32, russian, female')
4. do about ten lines for test purposes - we'll discuss them
5. do them all
6. wait 'till i up them

of course there will be a datasheet claiming decent from your nation and a wikilink for proper names

get your own imp-voice-set for free*
convince your lady to volunteer, too and have a fine time with her in arulco

* as long as they are to be used by everyone, that is

please send me the lines before you record them - we don't want to have everyone stand by with 'yessir', do we

some german is okay, but not too much - i think especially with the battlesounds a merc would probably speak his native tongue (partly) in the heat of battle, but not a second ivan dolvich

we should stop that alaaf - helau stuff, otherwise we had to explain it to foreigners who think karneval is nothing but mostly naked brazillian girls

Ok no worries Smile

What do you plan to do with all the voices? Integrating them into a mod or is it just for fun?

there are several reasons for having them:

provide imp-voices for allmale/allfemale-squads - give players a chance to replace a dead imp with a new one, who is not a voice-twin of the one that got shot

increase the variety of voices (for me there are too many north-americans in the game) - a player should have the chance to have a nonamerican imp

give modders a chance of 'drawing from the pool' - scorpio had to use an ub-impress for vengeance (that was just another translation and voice-actress) and keeping the information - so a modder could say 'pleas ask mimp023 to record the following lines' (if that voice-actor chooses to stay anonymous)

give players a chance to do something for the game (in star's sense), who can't code, draw or mod

... and earning one of those black shields (with a golden loudspeaker on it) Embarrassed

I'm willing to make a spanish IMP and I have already downloaded the .xls document but I need some examples first !! xDD well I can translate what you need from this short description...

example R003:see creature ---> your text in spanish everytime the merc sees a sci-fi creature

but under any other circumstances like << quit, cause of "learn of hate" >> I think that I need any other merc profile to make mine's because I don't quite get the meanings of learn of hate ingame. Can anyone send me a link or something with Ira's examples or Dynamo or whatever guy you like Very Happy

that imp is to speak english with a spanish accent and spanish phrases - where an american would say oh my god he'd probably say madre de dios - there are examples in the file (have a look at those tabs at the bottom of it)

well ok I noticed the example quotations under the IMP tab etc, my question is... How do I do to send you the full profile? I mean, I'm using oppenoffice and already activated macros option and I do not see any option and do not know if you have implemented a recording function or how to activate it in this xls format. Do I have to use any other kind of rec software to record the quotes listed in the document?

neeed a tutorial, thx ^^

A.C.A in spanish Logirestic should be something like Administraci

to get the files to me you either sign up with winlive and get access to my skydrive or up them at http://www.megaupload.com or somesuch

a fascist touch to that is the last thing i would mind Smile there were lots of fascists in south america for quite some time

Thanks. I can do either-or, or English with a bit of Hebrew interjected which would probably be best. Sort of like Ivan's Russian, where the basic responses are Russian, the curse words are Russian, but the important stuff is English.

Well I am Dutch, so I can give you a Dutch voice. However, I do not have the 'common' Dutch english accent. I have travelled around too much for that I reckon.
I am pretty decent in throwing my voice and doing different accents, though. So I could give you several. For BG2 I recorded like 3 PC voices and 1 NPC voice. A good amount of people did not recognize that it is was from the same guy.
However, I do have a question will you wait with your mod till you have all the voices or is there a point where you say I have enough, and will these be added to the game or do they replace the three existing ones?

I am going to join this season for my first action.

I at myself can offer you a well-spoken german-english. And my girl was to long in London to speak without that Cockney Accent. Pretty sure, I can persuade her to join too. You will love her

that finn got awol, and btw if enough finns volunteer you get the chance to play an all finnish squad and larry couldn't get drunk as you guys are faster on his booze.

why don't you believe you can't write them? i guess as anyone you wondered how mercs say certain things and thought what you would say; just write it down.

a better computer headset like one from logitech (this ain't no pun) is good enough - that is the reason why i want to have a few samples so that i can tell you if there is a soundproblem and how it could be corrected (it's easier that way than doing it by filtering afterwards)
