howareyou32Think it in this way. If one is a fast reader, this 700 pages book still require 40 hours non stop reading (if you can read non stop for 40 hours) to finish. The movie is only about 2 hours. We can treat this movie as a summary of the book. Again, if one want to have a full original taste then must read the book. But nowadays, most people are so busy with something-else, can or should we demand everybody to "read" the long book. Yes, we need some tough love, but I just know reading this 700 pages book will be too tough for most people. I want people to enjoy this movie, cause it can teach us so many good things, even-though it only as fraction as good as the book, but better than nothing.
nope
1. i read a book like that in about 8 - 10 hours (and can discuss it afterwards), but i read a lot - if i take notes what i mostly do (i leave them on cards in the books) it may last 20 hours
2. reading is fun
3. i do think thisone should have been posted in 'book of the day' - maybe with a warning for some people it could take them an entire year of their life to acquire and read it (got mine on pettycoat lane, london uk years ago, it's kinda hard to get nowadays in old europe)
4. books are more then a plot and if you want to be taught something it won't work in a summarized form
5. if you want to be taught something by a movie watch bycicle thieves
yeah kaerar it's wiki-time again - just for a movie-summary (hope you do not stone me for that):

Niggas talk about change and working within the system to achieve that. The problem with always being a conformist is that when you try to change the system from within, it's not you who changes the system; it's the system that will eventually change you. There is usually nothing wrong with compromise in a situation, but compromising yourself in a situation is another story completely, and I have seen this happen long enough in the few years that I've been alive to know that it's a serious problem.

Nothing will change, until THE PEOPLE start expressing their unhappiness.
I do not mean going and holding a rally or a "March on Washington", because what are we really doing? You know we spend a lot of gas money getting their and stimulate the economy. That is about it.
I am a world citizen who also resides in the known universe. I believe in knowledge, wisdom, understanding, freedom, justice, equality, food, clothing, shelter, love, peace, and happiness.
I and a host of others are dissatisfied with our rulers.
Even our founding fathers (American) believed their should be a revolution every X amount of years.
Capitalism is destroying itself.
Communism has not been used correctly.
Balance is key.
We have too many rules.
We have too many laws.
Business is not regulated and people are not educated (and in instances education is controlled by business). This = Zombies
We are one of the most intelligent species of this time. We are wasting it on a surplus supply and demand society.
Think.
All it takes is a spark.
One Spark.
To start this fire.
