Got some good moments in my most recent complete play-through of standard v1.13 (b2085), most of them late game. Had my second squad (Hamous, Dynamo, Tex, Gumpy, Iggy, and Reaper) assault Balime's eastern sector. Was cutting through the pass in the wall when an enemy squad full of blackshirts from L10 reinforce them immediately. Hamous is the back and all of a sudden has to deal with five of them on his flank; the others are ahead securing the breach. Did a spray and pray with his MG3 at the whole group, hoping that I would suppress them enough to save the group's bacon (with the prospect of losing Hamous anyway). So I go full auto on a wide spread and get headshots on all five of them; all of them have their heads pop, blood and gore spraying all over the place.
Later on, have a three-squad attack on Meduna, each one taking a different road into town. Things go good until the maze at O3, when the queen's blackshirts from her sector in the south come to reinforce her final defenses. Have Squad Three (Larry, Flo, Conrad, Buzz, Devin, Maddog) INFIL on the south side of the map (didn't expect this) so they deal with the brunt of the damage. They hurt a few of my guys as they try to progress down the field, and leave Flo in open with three blackshirts bearing down on 3's rally point behind the SW building; one west of the building, two coming in from the east. Flo, however, has a Metal Storm and kills them all in a few quick actions, the western blackshirt takes so much damage he takes a body explosion death. After having a bad ass moment saving the squad, she takes three Drag. shots (two to the head) before the OpFor kills her (just like in the movies). After sober Larry lamenting her death, Buzz makes good on Flo's stand and pumps several Mustard Mortars into the area, scaring off the rest of the horde.
End of the game with Trevor getting his head blown off by Diedrianna's bodyguard, who in turn got his head blown off by Dynamo. Open the door and Hamous kills the queen with a lucky burst from the MG3 before she can even get off a shot.
And in one of my "in progress" games with WF 1.13 + AIM + HAM 3.6, Scope getting a .50 Beowulf w/ C-Mag and a Scope 7x Combo. First battle armed with it, she gets rounds going through the target and into the guy behind him (killing them both) multiple times in the engagement.

I guess one of my priceless moments happened last night when I was taking E11 or E10 (it had a weapon storage thing in it) and the enemies kept throwing themselves at me like idiots. After I'd taken the area, a counter attack was initiated. Luckily, I had placed two of my guys up on the roof of the shack. From there, they had perfect view over the area and could lob 40mm 'nades up and down at the enemies. They had no chance to even get close. Managed to stun a mighty big group of soldiers too.
*Edit* Ah, just remembered a gem from a few nights ago. I was heading back from Chitzena (on foot for whatever reason too >_>), the crossroads just south of Omerta is generally occupied by enemies. A storm had just started as I came into the sector and I thought to myself, well this'll be easy..
Turns out, it wasn't so easy. All the soldiers had congretated in the center of the map behind some rocks. Being the idiot I am, I began shooting at them and after a moment I was 6 against 18 I believe? I can't remember. Had to back out try to lure them into my team. That didn't work too great. So I had to retreat and re-enter the sector from somewhere else. Having done that, I took out all the teams knives and went ahead to knife them all. It turned out pretty epic. ^^

We all know opening doors is dangerous, especially in late-game where enemies will pretty much fuck you up in one turn.
I wasn't paying attention however and opened the door, letting my merc run to hit and opening it without stealth on.
Apparently there were 2 guys waiting for me, who got the first turn of course.
One of them decided it would be cool to knife that guy over there with the big gun (nobody ever accused a redshirt of being very smart). :gaga:
Then there was the other guy, he was a bit of a communist, which was reflected by his choice of gun, the OSV anti-material rifle (very practical for indoor combat!)
Now as we all know, communists gladly sacrifice each others lives for the greater good, so this guy aims at my head, knowing sir Dumbfuck Redshirt is still kind of in the way.
One shot was all he needed.
The result was a headless redshirt and a headless Shadow.

20 Elite hostiles encountered my two IMP personnel. My two IMPs and were engaging in a water battle, with camouflage on. Both are armed with MP5A4s, with suppressors. Camped at the edge of the sea, looking East, where ALL the elite hostiles were swimming South to North because I rang a shot from my .50 barrett. It was like shooting fish in a barrel, except more discreet. Too bad my gear washed away into the sea.

Oh man, the first time I had to fight off the counter-attack on Drassen.
I had three IMPs and Ira at the mine, I was planning on using Ira to train up some militia, but the attack happened before I had a chance to get any real training done. I had heard a lot about how nasty the counter-attack was, so I decided to do it properly. I set up two OPs, one on the foreman building in the west, right next to the mine entrance, and another on the flat topped building pretty much directly SE of the church. On the foreman building I stuck my MG Imp, Fingers, with his FN MAG along with my explosives Imp, Lucky, with her M79 GL and an Uzi as a back up. On the other OP I put my sniper Imp, Shashka, with her SVD and Ira, who I handed a shotgun and a 10x scope to act as my spotter. To be a complete bastard, I got Lucky to throw down all the explosives I had in four lines, spread out between my OP near the church and the western border. I made these using 'satchel charges'; I stuck dynamite with remote fuses in bags along with whatever I had that would go boom, spare hand grenades, the odd artillery shell.
Well, the attack came, I blew the first two lines, took out easily 20-30, and quickly realised Lucky and Fingers needed to get the fuck out and dodge, so I dropped smokes and tear gas to cover them as they ran back into town and looped back onto the roof of the remaining OP. Lucky shot off some illumination rounds from her Blooper and it became apparent that this wasn't going to be easy. It was insane, Fingers finished on his last 30 bullets from the 200 he started with, Lucky ran out of nades and ended up shooting a couple of red shirts off the roof with her Uzi. Even Ira had to lend a hand with shotgun she liberated from one of the fallen, and I think Sashka even ended up taking a swing at someone with a machete.
Bloody awesome feeling to finally fight them off, and oh sweet lord, the looting that was had.

One of the my moments (next to first head blown up, first shoot of roof, blown back full blood and stuff like that) was like The Handler the counter-attack on Drassen.
I am not sure if it influenced it, but I also had send the flowers to the queen the same day. Just as 'Hello I am back playing the game after a year or two, now with mods'. In the end it were 120 (!) enemies that assaulted me (I had to check the figures twice, 27 men gunned down and 93 in sector, that makes... no way... this is going to get bloody).
My first team (Rogue (IMP), Dimitri, Thor, Nails and Grace) were in the upper right corner. Rogue with the only sniper(-like) M1 garand of the whole team (that at least had the scope to sniper (4x)). IN the streets a bit east of ACA building the second team (Hardrock (IMP), Meltdown, Ira, Blood, Grizzly). As it is day two I don't have a lot of equipment, bare that in mind.
The first of Deidranna's grunts come in via the east, and it are mainly my two teams that need to hold of the attack as Militia move in to battle with me. However, the team from the south comes in and a fire battle ensues. At this time Dimitri gets shot through the head with a M1 garand, surviving with -40 but effectively out of combat. My second team is pressed and Blood takes a shotgun slug to the chest draining him of energy (not so much health luckily), and Ira is forced to duck-and-stand tactics shooting guys from the toilet in the alley way between the clothing shop and the house below it - luckily this goes well with her small revolver spilling parts of head all over. Still, as the militia are heaving a really though time and the pressure seems of the east I move my two teams towards the south.
However, it was only a temporarily relieve as my first team is caught between new arrivals, Rogue manages to run out of the 'dead lock' but does get shot by militia in the leg along the way. Dimitri hides out in building above the clothing shop, as Nails, Grace and Thor fight of with shotguns and auto firings the incoming enemies. In the mean time, my militia tries the old massive attack, but runs into an enemy specialist... a demolist. The grenades fly around and Grizzly takes a hit as well. Only Hardrock manages to pass the south street, but as new reinforcements from the south come there she is pinned between dying militia being mown down and a few brave ones that manage to fairly well defend the south-west.
Now the Rogue gets on the ACA building, accompanied by a retreating Grizzly and Ira. Meltdown is brave enough to go into a house and use her trusty pistols, but is soon forced to flee as her position is overrun. Grace, Nails and Thor now are surrounded as apparently forces from the West have circled us and now attack from the north. It is even Dimitri and Blood (the two that are either tired or hurt (Thor did bandage Dimitri)) that fire rounds into the attackers from the 'north'. However, I believe Dimitri lost and pull out Blood to get with Meltdown on the ACA building as well. Thanks to Thor Dimitri survives, and as the Rogue starts to sniper the attackers from the North trying to get run behind the church attention is focusses there and team 1 - the Rogue gets some relieve. Hardrock is luckily an auto weapons freak and manages to gun down a few before she needs to pull back to the people on the roof that need now to even throw grenades in order to hold the attackers off. She does it just in time for she gets some bullets as attention, but manages to surpress her fear and than the militia are whipped out due to auto fires and mustard gas (why don't they move away from that???). Meltdown fires even a few 40mm rounds in order to cover Hardrock's retreat (and tries to save
militia by telling them to take cover, but one even walks towards the enemies in all the confusing..
As the west team of the enemy is mainly shot down with a sniper and close combat fire from the roof (Ira counts five head splatters due to her speed load pistol) it is the south that now attacks, along with a portion of south-east, the rest of east gunned down by team 1, that gets the drop on guys that appear on entry. As these are send into relieve the room team, they become the number one target (the team on the roof had to be pulled back to the center) - which gets Grace shot again and again Thor that must save someone's ass. However, that leaves again for flanking from the roof with grenades and bullets. Two enemy soldiers morale breaks enough to run, and two stranglers are too wounded to follow them being cleaned up... My first major battle with JA2 1.13_WF6.06_HAM3.6_STOMP1.2_AIMNASV5... a battle to remember (along with the sifting through 1517 items that lay in the sector)
Hope you enjoyed the read

Had a funny mini-chain of dialogue the other day. Playing on Insane with AIMNASv14 - the C team (Gumpy, Gasket, Flo, Biff, Buns, and MD) is protecting Omerta. Now they see almost as much action as the attacking A team (Biff even has the most kills after the IMP's for crying out loud), but they get hurt quiet a lot and bodies are lying around them everywhere, resulting in:
Flo 'Is there something else for me to do now?'
Buns 'Haha, I am sorry it is not really funny'
I had to chuckle at that, along with being amazed cause I never had a 'react to decaying body/decapitation' line out of the tactical combat screen.

RelnorThats gonna take alot of crows to clean up the bodies XD Good thing I had disabled them because of the lag they cause: two days later, when the bodies were decaing, I had fought the next battle in that sector.
RanIs that bloodcats I see? I always love it when bloodcats, enemies, mercs, militia and civilians mix it up... Yes, there had been bloodcats too. That's what probably caused the massing in front of the building before I got my team in position for the initial fire-assault. I don't realy like them; in particular on the WF maps they are somewhat spammed (they even appear inside Estoni, what means you cannot enter the sectors in tactical when having conquered it because the bloodcats instantly start killing civilians).

Just started Urban Chaos with 1.13 (never played it before).
Liberated Calisto and Sheraton and just after finishing training militia at Sheraton, saw a big group of red shirts near the SAM Site, south of Sheraton. I had only 12 militia there, 10 blue shirted and 2 veterans. Moved my mercs there fast, and prepared for the big attack. So, 20 enemies attacked, 8 elites 12 red shirts, it was night.
Fight started and suddenly one of the veteran militia ( who was on the other side of the map, nowhere near the enemies), puts out a mortar, shoots, hits some barrels with gas, 7 or 8 enemies started to fry. Next turn the guy shoots again with the mortar, kills 3 more and starts running to the enemies. He was able to finish the last enemy with a burst of led.
That was some MVP for me, want to have that guy on my team tbh.
