Hello everyone, this is my first post, so I wanted to say hello .
Now, for the bug. This happens a second time (and a second time to Barry) in one game and I am pretty sure it didn't happen in previous games.
Barry just gets a break light/gas grenade/bullet when walking through a level at night. Other mercs, even when closer to the enemy, aren't spotted. As it occured for the first time, the enemy had thrown a break light at him and shoot (don't remember if Barry cought the bullet) and after that it became normal again for a number of fights. Now, I'm storming Grumm, the North East end, and it is the same. Barry was wounded in the previous battle and I think that could cause the problem. He was standing on a break light too, when he was shot.
I wanted to inform you that such bug occurs, don't really count on a good solution to this. I tried to solve the problem: I went to the North-East end of Grumm and wen't back to the South. It didn't help. Shooting him by me or enemies doesn't help either. I was thinking that maybe it's something connected with light but throwing a break light at Barry didn't solve the problem. I have many mercs and I'll take this sector without Barry. I like to storm the city side of Grumm at daytime so he will pause this battle, but it would be crappy if he would became unavailable for the night operations. He's at level 6 :/ and not far from 7 I think.
Oh and by the way.
Rising agility is just a no go in my game. It happens very rearely when AGI comes up, usually when my merc and the enemy don't see each other and I sneak up being unaware that I really sneak up... Is that in every 1.12? I think not...

BunsI am pretty confident that there is no bug in 1.12 concerning night vision. There are a couple of possible reasons why the enemy had been able to spot Barry, and may be not the other mercs, or why he attacked Barry even though others were closer.
KrzysiekRising agility is just a no go in my game. It happens very rearely when AGI comes up, usually when my merc and the enemy don't see each other and I sneak up being unaware that I really sneak up... Is that in every 1.12? I think not... Agility is the hardest to improve stat in game. While you always get a couple of points in strength and health when walking around and a good deal of points in dexterity and wisdom when assigned on certain tasks, your mercs hardly ever improve in agility, unless you realy do a lot of sneaking within enemy vision range. It is therefore highly recommended to not hire mercs with low agility.
Yeah, that's why Danny is my favourite pick in the beginning. The only MERC with low AGI that I hire is Barry but my IMP got stuck on 86 AGI and won't move :/.
sunshineI know a rare technical problem, which reads similar to what You have experienced. There is a vanilla bug, which does not set the muzzle-flash variable of a merc back to off. When the merc enters a new combat, he is treated as visible as if he was actually shooting no matter what he really does. This ends if turnbased mode is switched on and off for this merc once. If I rember correctly, it starts, when the merc kills the last enemy in a sector with a gun-shot, possibly only at an interrupt. Can You confirm this kind of event in Your game?
Well, I'm pretty sure that Barry didn't kill the last soldier. At least for the second time of the bug appearance. Here is the save anyway, if you want it.

If you go North (for example) with the squad and stand not very close to the fence of the factory then Barry gets a break light/gas/bullet or something. This is happening after the deployment phase if you deploy the troops close enough or walking/crouching normally if you deploy them far. At least it happens in my PC and hope it'll happen in yours becouse I'll make a fool out of myself .
By now I have taken Grumm and if there'll be a next night operation I'll let you know if the bug is still there.

Yes, I opened or at least I tried to open lockers or doors in two previous sectors, by shooting at them. It makes sense, because this is the second time it happened to Barry and I mainly use him to shoot at the lockers.
Well, it isn't a big issue and after daylight battles is was back to normal, so you shouldn't bother about it too much, especially if you have more important tasks. I'm glad that we worked this out a bit. :super:
