Since the stable SDL libraries have not yet adapted to Lion's changed API, please note you will have to find development releases to make Stracciatella work.

I got mine working on Lion by using this release.

I have updated my osx compile/install guide accordingly.

Hi,

You find the links to the source at Stracciatella Q&A. Either You get the latest via tortoise or You get the last official release from the website linked in Trons sig.

Hi everyone. I have just discovered the joys of JA2. First I downloaded the demo and then I bought the gold version cd (for xp, vista and win 7) from buy.com. Well, I am now addicted to this game and would love to try and play it on my 64 bit imac running Lyon. I see a lot of great work has been done by some great people that have kept this title alive and well but unfortunately I am not very handy with following the instructions on ja2.monkeyphysics website and fear the worst if I even attempt following them. Does anyone know if there is a precompiled 64-bit Lyon solution that allows me to one-click the game into my mac from the CD? Sorry, if I sound like a complete noob but the reality is that I am one and pretty computer illiterate to boot. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Best
Robert

@rgamba:
probably easiest for you would be using wine (something like a windows emulator) and run your JA2 gold with it.
But run a search here beforehand, if JA2 will work with wine (i'm not 100% certain it will, but i recall reading it would).

Thanks for the reply - will look into Wine and see if that works out. I also noticed there is a pre-compiled straciatella 64-bit 800x600 so will see if I can mess around with that a little.

All the best
Robert
