Installing MFM Tracona into Ja2UB[message #293312]

Hi,

I downloaded the file pack and unzipped everything under UBCampaigns/MFMTracona folder in Ja2UB.

I am able to "set campaign" MFM Tracona and start a new game.

But the add for the MOD is showing a new face for Raven and I'm not seeing that...

What did I do wrong?

Didn't pay attention to the file name!

1 D/load MFM Tracona from Kermi's repository .
2 Make new copy of UB 1.01 . (rename Tracona )
3 Extract MFM zip into main folder of UB 1.01
4 Copy contents of MFM folder and install into main folder , overwriting where asked .
5 Use MFM exe .
6 Play .

You should have in your main folder 5 no. exe. icons .

1 ja2UB mfm exe.
2 ja2UB exe.
3 ja2UB Editor exe.
4 ja2UB Save Convertor exe.
5 Set ja2UB Campaign

If you don't have these , try reinstalling .

I've got them all except the MFM.exe

I also have something different-

CreateRadarMaps.exe

But that just seems to start up vanilla UB.

I've installed several times,that MFM.exe isn't here.

Thanks Lockie,

Still having issues getting it running though...

Mods can be a real pain to get installed correctly.

Upon starting the MFMtracona.exe I get an error.

Cannot init Font file ,fonts/largefont1.sti

Oh joy.

Somethings wrong with your install , go to another UB and copy whatever seems to be missing and add to this latest install .

To be honest , this one was a breeze , even for me , to install !

Somethings wrong somewhere.

So I'm all done with it,after trying a dozen times,the same error keeps coming up.

Thanks for your help,but this just isn't working...

Some added info to chew on. there is NO fonts folder in JA2UB OR the files that were installed for MFM Tracona?

What gives? lol

1)Why do the latest MFM tracona file packs NOT have the MFM.EXE file?

Perhaps the EXE is corrupt?

1. Make a fresh install of JA2 Unfinished Business
2. Patch to version 1.01 if necessary http://kermi.pp.fi/JA_UB/Patches/
3. Make a copy of your JA2 Unfinished Business install and rename it into "JA2_UB_MFM_Tracona" for example
4. Download the 50 MB "JA2_UB_MFM_Tracona" 7-Zip file http://kermi.pp.fi/JA_UB/Mods/
5. Extract the "JA2_UB_MFM_Tracona" 7-Zip file into a temporary (!) test folder
6. Copy all files included in the extracted "JA2 UB MFM Tracona" folder (=4847 files Wink

) and paste them into the main directory of your JA2_UB_MFM_Tracona install you created in 3. and replace all existing files
7. Start the "Set JA2UB Campaign.EXE" you find in the main directory of your JA2_UB_MFM_Tracona install and 'Set' MFM TRACONA by Will Gates

People still playing this? Awesome. I have done much work on both MFM's since "finishing" them (a mod is never finished, only releasable) mostly on armour but also on some strategic stuff (figured out how to fool the SME to give me the max it's capable of) and retro placing the robots (both sizes) into Arulco as I object to killing tigers.

Rumours of my demise have been exagerated.
