M24A2
Remington has developed an improved version of the M24 rifle, known as the M24A2. The A2 model features a detachable 10-round magazine, top-mounted and adjustable side-mounted Picatinny rails (advertised by Remington as "MARS", or Modular Accessory Rail System), barrel modifications designed to accommodate a sound suppressor, and an improved H-S Precision PST-25 stock with adjustable cheek height and length of pull. Existing M24s can also be converted into M24A2s, which replaces the stock and adds the new detachable magazine feed. The conversion requires a re-barreling of the weapon so it can take the OPS silencer.
or maybe m24a3 sws
M24A3
Remington developed the M24A3 SWS, a variant of the M24 chambered for the .338 Lapua Magnum round (8.58×70mm) and feeding from a 5-round detachable box magazine.[9] It comes tapped for the Leupold Mk 4 M1LR/T 8.525×50mm Variable Power day scope. It can also use detachable front and rear Back-Up Iron Sights in an emergency (BUIS units are standard accessories that can be fitted to the Picatinny Rail that runs on the top of the receiver and along the barrel).

How about the Chauchat in .30-06? Awful weapon, but apparently Chauchats really do turn up in backwater war zones even 100 years later.
The Chauchat in 7.5mm Argentine was apparently pretty decent, but probably not worth a new caliber.
If Smeagol would be willing to add Aguila mini-12g shells, that opens up the Mag-7 shotgun-SMG, which I always thought was rather interesting : http://world.guns.ru/shotgun/safr/mag-7-e.html
In tube magazines the shorter mini-shells increase capacity by 40% or so. The Winchester 1200 and 1300 will chamber mini-shells without modification. Other pump shotguns will accept them with modified feed mechanisms. I don't think I've ever heard of a semi-auto that would cycle them.
Mini-shell muzzle velocity is about the same but the payload is reduced compared to standard rounds - mini-buck shoots 11 pellets totalling 19.5g, as opposed to 8-9 pellets totalling 28-32g for a standard shell. Recoil is reduced as a result as well.
Mini-shells are made in buck, bird, and slug, though birdshot probably isn't worth including. The slugs are 24.5g.

I'm sorry if any of this is already in the game, but here are some cool items that I think you add even more variety to your already extensive mod! I will be infinitely grateful if you add these to your mod!
Exotic ammo, grenades and landmines, oh my!
Format: weapon name (what it is) [recommended differences from similar items]
Explosives:
POMZ landmine (Stick mine)[cheaper, easier to set up, lesser damage, less reliable]
M15 WP (White Phosphorus grenade) [more of a gradual smoke (as opposed to m34's burst), longer lasting, smaller radius]
Model 308-1 Napalm (Napalm grenade) [N/A]
Mk 141 Mod 0 (Flashbang) [better throwing distance, weaker/shorter lasting stunning effects]
T13 Impact Grenade (Impact HE grenade) [better throwing distance, little to no fragments, defensive],
M84 (Impact Flashbang) [more stunning, less flash (aka short but strong stunning effects)],
M9143 (Small cylindrical grenade body that can be filled with most in-game fillings(tear gas, smoke, etc.)) [like a mini variant of canister grenades, better throwing distance, smaller radius]
RKG-3 (Anti-Tank grenade) [grenade that can effectively be used against tanks]
RPG-43 (Anti-Tank grenade)[much more explosive version of the RKG-3, but heavier and more difficult to throw]
No.74 (Sticky Anti-Tank grenade) [sticks to target, power comparable to RKG-3]
Shotgun Ammunition :
Dragon's Breath (Incediary) [N/A]
Birdshot (Smaller buckshot, many, many more pellets)[High damage against unarmored targets, bad range]
0000 Buckshot (Giant buckshot, few pellets)[Like multiple, slightly weaker/ less accurate slugs]
M855 Steel Core Shot (Cores from bullets, about 40 in a shell) [Like birdshot but with better range/less spread and better penetration, a compromise between flechette and birdshot]
Piranha [Steel tacks + #12 birdshot] (Insane damage against unarmored targets, laughably poor range)
Images: imgur.com/IfpEWsD (sorry can't post images)
I'd be willing to go really far out of my way to get these in the game (to the point where I make them myself and merge with this mod). I have an unreasonable amount of free time and would be delighted to spend it adding to the best JA2. Asides from that, thanks for all you've done so far!
