According to a german website, bitcomposer is insolvent and has entered administration on December 3rd. Somewhat interesting, as they hold a certain IP...

Yep, I double checked that and apparently they're indeed listed as insolvent. I am wondering about the same thing as you? How much would a certain IP cost now and how we could raise the money? Smile

Btw, in other news I think I located FC's camera controller. It's located inside game_Data\Managed and it's called ViewDLL.dll. A C# programmer might understand the code, to me it's chinese. From the bare minimum I understood, the camera rotation is bound to 45 deg angles in that code.

Wish I knew C#.

Well, only one way to find out, no?

Maybe its time to think about a crowd fundraiser to bring this fine community to the next level?
After all, aren't we the ones who pay the most respect to the JA franchise for the longest time and also know best what the fanbase really wants from a JA game?

So many have tried and failed at creating a worthy JA2 successor in the past 15 years, with FC and JA:F standing on the edge of failure once more without the outmost support of this community.

And after so many failures to make money, the JA IP is about to be ruined and thus should be relatively cheaply available accordingly.

So maybe this is the time to aim for the stars, whaddya think Shanga? Care to quit your job and go full time JA developing and IP managing?

Hehe... that would be my dream job, but if I don't bring the bread home to wife and kid, my last job too.

:rip:Shanga :rip:
He tried to develop JA
Wife said no.

:gaga: What the hell would the community do with it? Developing a game from the ground is a different thing than dabbling with existing code. We neither have the resources nor knowledge for that.

If you are so keen on people quitting their jobs to start working on some fairy tale, perhaps you should start by being the first

Yep, we know best. Every single one of us. Just don't even try to get two arbitrarily picked members to agree on so much as the right shade of red for the red shirts. It will end in blood, flames and tears.
