I need help - is there any hotkey combo to revert the map editor to its behavior when in a big brush it randomly puts vegetation (trees) that you selected?
I want to select for example 4 different trees and in an extra-large brush I want the editor to randomly put combos of them on my map edges that I would delete afterwards if they're not artsy enough.
The new editors don't do that anymore. And it's one of the worse things coders have changed, and without asking or documenting anything.
And precisely why the new SCIs don't include a valid map editor anymore?

I never used the method you are describing (sounds cool), so I haven't noticed any change. Looking into SVN-Changelogs, I don't see any changes made to MapEditor. But I'm no coder, so there may are changes to other stuff that have effected this, dunno. I can only image some collateral damage, but can't see any intention for changing MapEditor.
If you are looking for a SCI with included MapEditor, take a look here How to get: latest 1.13, 7609, feature-descriptions and more
The SCI provided by me (second link) and the one from polish forum (third link) include the MapEditor.
All I'm doing for this, is to compile it following Haydents Guide. Before upload, I usualy do a quick test if it can get started, placing random walls and mercs, etc. No in-depth test.. Last one I used for actual work, was the one from r8955, for what I've been working on it worked as it should. But I don't use any hotkeys and no random placement (but I'm curios, sounds interesting).
Don't know, if you work with ja2set.dat or ja2setdat.xml, but maybe that's worth a look? (Just a guess)
