I'm not a big fan of the planted explosives destroying parts of the map when you get noticed.
Is there anything important I am missing (characters, cool features etc.) if I just go out guns blazing (so not just reduced income or missing items you could also get otherwise)?
I did some oil rigs full stealth, but it was really tedious and it's not my thing.

Generally the explosions in some maps are for atmosphere more than anything else, so it won't adversely effect your game outright. If you go in guns blazing then that's your call. Some other maps do require stealth for a better outcome, such as trying to rescue prisoners without collateral damage.

Can you give a hint where explosions might kill VR NPCs, except for the obvious prisons?
The problem with explosives destroying things (e.g. NPCs) is that you won't even know what game functionality (e.g. cool dialogue) you just lost.
Actually I already tried to remove the "explosion alarm switches" via the map editor (eraser), e.g. at G15 power plant with 3 switches, but explosions somehow still happened.

I think for the most part the Oil Rigs and the Power Station if I recall correctly. As far as a risk to NPCs/RPC's the rigs are probably the worst, but there is a chance factor in play whether they are simply injured or killed depending on your luck.

I hated those explosions when the first few times that I played but it forced me to play stealthy for the first time and I've been playing this game for 20 years. When you get the hang of it and have someone with stealthy perks, you basically get to play as a ninja.

Hi @ all, unsure if this is the right thread or if it is more a bugzilla thingy, but I have noticed more then a couple of weapons with accuracy 0 from all ranges of weapons. The M2 Carbine is one, but I could provide others as well.

Also, some guns dropp to zero accuracy when i modify them (the .50 Bushmaster when a C-Mag is attached, and the M1 Garand with the EBR, more examples kann be provided). I am using the latest stable VR build with a fresh gog JA2. Am I missing a config setting, or ist that indeed a bug?

And not just btw ofc a huge thanks for you work & efford here, it is amazing to see JA2 around and fresh.

Hey Ferenc_i, this sounds more like a bug, or at least on the Bushmaster side of things. So post up any future issues in Bugzilla if you find any.

Some guns do indeed have a 0 accuracy rating by default, such as older, primitive sub-machine guns and pistols but the Bushmaster issue sounds suspicious. I'll take a look at that, thanks.

Many thanks in advance, Hawkeye. If you need more examples of suspicious merges, I would have some more.

I understand the accuracy 0 for older guns (though the m1 carbine has a ~40sh value, the m2 has 0), but I've spotted less vintage examples as well. Some of the AMR like the Barettm82A1M & M107 among them.
