Hello. I am just wandering whether it makes a difference if you have your night vision googles attch to the helmet or directly put them in the slot of the head on the left side? i have read many posts about a shortcut to turn night vision on but cant get that work.so what is the better option to operate in the dark? thx in advance

Bonus/penalty of NVG and sun goggles depends on brightness lvl,
but shift-N goggle swap relies on daytime, it does not take artificial lights in town or underground sectors into account.
Activate mercs vision field overlay via Shift+V shortcut,
and check effect of wearing glasses/NVG in sector with artificial lights.

Yeah, they are very annoying with those break lights at night but what would you do if you were in their shoes ? Probably the same.
Which is why you need to use rifles/sniper rifles, weapons with a long range and pick your fights during the day. Make sure to have a scout in every squad to avoid ambushes and when you enter an enemy occupied sector, pick a spot, put everyone prone in a fan or circle formation, so they can't flank you or circle behind you, fire a shot to make some noise and when the soldiers come to investigate, start taking them out from long range. It is very satisfying and you don't need to rely on headshots, shoot them on the body once or twice and in the next round repeat to finish them off. You can go through battles like this without a scratch or even be seen by the enemy at all. You can go through battles without the enemy firing a single shot.
Since they throw break lights as soon as their turn is up, forget night ops. Don't play to their advantage, fight during the day and make them play by your rules and advantages.
