hello, is there somewhere a list of items which can be combined? i just cant get anything together. I achieved to put duckt tape to a tool kit, but dont know for what?! I found batteries, casio watch, carabiner, compund 18, steel tubes and so on but cant get them used to any purpose. is there any help for that?
And, how i get the gas in the jeep?

You can check Merges.xml and then look up the item IDs in Items.xml.

Just "use" the gas canister (right click on it) and then left click on the car.

If the refuel command is not accepted although everything seems fine,
step one tile away from the vehicle and repeat the process,
for some reason the game does not perform the command if the mercs is on an adjacent tile.

The voodoo doll is a quest item, it's not used for any merges. Try talking to some NPC's where you found it to give you some clues.

There's no official merge list, item experimentation is encouraged just like in Vanilla, maybe take a look in the hints and tips pages if you haven't already.

Here's a couple I had handy;

Alcohol-Oil Mix combined with Empty Mortar Shell = Molotov Bomb
should be usable with M224 Mortar and Detonator and Remote Detonator

Alcohol-Oil Mix combined with Taped Flare = Flarebomb

Rags combined with Alcohol = Trauma packs - Handy if you find yourself bleeding but have run out of first aid or medkits. Rags are plentiful as you can get hold of these by tearing clothing or your parachute with the transform icon.

i am really struggeling with that quests. Find so many things i dont know what to do with that. for now just talking friendly friendly direct to all people and hope they tell me or give me what i need.
But there is so much stuff to carry. i put all that non weapon stuff in the jeep and drive round. one question: can i combine things innthe inventory menue or do i need to give the things tona merc and go to a sector?
and does somebody know what to do with the xray device? tried to give it the girl in the hospital. she just said thx for the gift and she will give it to her patients.
also i found that i can put quick glue, duct tape to the tool box. but for which purpose?!

The Xray device is the same as in Vanilla. Combine it with a fumble pack and pack of gum and you can use it to track enemies during battle. You combine items by placing them in your mercs hands, it's usually wise to do this with a merc with good mechanical skills or electronics if it's more of a complex item.

The tool box is just used as storage for those items, you can also store wire cutters inside too, but there's no other purpose apart from storage if you are tight for room.

Not all items are useful and there is a fair share of junk items too. Sometimes you just have to leave stuff to pick up at a later time or alternatively just sell it to the locals using the alt key in your inventory. Some better quality junk can be sold to traders like Hank and Jake. Keep excess weaponry to sell to Tony.

too bad, i was hoping for smth like:
"you must merge the doll with a material component that is unique to the victim,
then stab it with the silver needle that was dimmersed into the blood of a little red rooster at full moon midnight" ;)

I've been trying to craft ammo for the 40mm mortar but nothing fits. I got the empty shells and plenty of 40mm and VOG grenades. Duct tape, glue, gas, rubber bands, nothing combines with the empty 40mm shells. Any pointers, pretty please ?

So i cannot create the 40mm mortar grenades that i get as drops, i thought it was possible, according to their description. Thank you for the input Sevenfm, i appreciate any little bit of information, as always !

Hi again gents, a small update...

I did manage to craft rounds for the 40mm mortar, the trick was to work backwards, instead of trying to add a 40mm grenade to the shell, i've added the shell to the grenade and voila big grin

While messing with merges, big surprise : the EBR stock also fits on the M1 Garand as well. So, the new and improved M1 EBR'd Garand, can now accept more scopes, beyond the standard No32 scope,4x + reflex sight, 7x AND a Bipod, making it a VERY formidable weapon, my rangers are thanking you big grin
