Installation:
1. Unzip the file to the game directory (eg: C:\Games\ja2)
2. Run ja2

Archive appears to contain only 2 files according to winrar 3.6x full and 7zip 9.20,
view in hex editor shows entries for a couple more .sti files,
and Rar 2.5o from '99 gives me this message:

Nobody else having issues with the archive?

I have 7-Zip v18.05 and the .rar contains several folders and upwards of 200 files. Try downloading again.

Some nice UI there, some of the buttons and icons look a bit 4 bit at times, but keeps them simple and concise.

Thx @ed for reply, dlded 2 times before 1st message,
found out the 2nd of both dlds is corrupted (1st was overwritten),
furthermore 7zip 9.20 cant really handle the uncorrupted archive that i just got on the 3rd attempt,
but 7zip 18.05 will, and produces same error as 9.20 on the corrupted 2nd dld of the archive.

Not sure whether new archives have lost backwards compatibility,
that would be quite bad,
but I think its related to fonts in filenames and dirs probably unsupported on machine and in 9.20,
if i compress the extracted archive with 18.05, 9.20 also fails to see all files in the new archive,
but not if i remove or rename all files&folders with "weird"(probably unsupported) fonts before creating the .7z with version 18.05

Besides, I like the unobtrusive style(well, except those yellow arrows;),
should work excellent on notebook sceens.

Please help me. I redraw the Inventory_bottom_Panel_1024_768 but don't know what the programme should be used to export it to Sti file. I tried unsuccesfuly different programmes (Sti-editor,StiToGif, dotNetStiEditor1.0.0.25, grv) and all of them did mistakes in that STI file.

Yes, I tried Sti Edit. It does not like such big images too.
Tox's newer JA2STI download links are broken and that is why I cannot try it. speechless

If you are doing all your painting and editing in another program, try just pasting your edited file in GRV over an existing inventory panel. This package can handle larger files.

Yes. After many tests and resaves in Photoshop and GRV I changed the file successfully. It still afraid to be opened in Sti-editor but all is good in game. happy

The old Sti Edit is a bit cranky with higher resolutions or stuff that has more than 256 colours, usually GRV is a better option for that. Good to hear it works.
