The Bears Pit Discord is starting to get more and more confused 1.13 players who are trying to play the prehistoric "stable" release of 1.13 as this is "the only and best version" of 1.13, however the download links are broken and the website has been last updated somewhere 5 years ago.

Can we please make this piece of misinformation disappear?

You don't need to be so heavy handed. Please do not get rid of the HAM section of the pbworks. Do you know how *&$#@^% difficult it is to get good information on how things work so you can successfully mod? This forum is useless. Don't get rid of any other sites that have useful information.

What is really needed is access to modify that site and update information.
I also must say that "prehistoric" stable release is the only version that can run most of the 1.13 mods.

What is the best release of 1.13 to play? The latest one crashes when I'm attacked in Drassen. Also, there seems to be a 1.13 mod for Wildfire as well but hell if I could figure it out here. I got the Steam Wildfire/Gold bundle so I'm keen to try either.

There will be no fix until someone provides proper bug report with savegame.

There is no 1.13 for Wildfire, but there is Wildfire for 1.13.

Thanks. I couldn't upload my savegame to the bug report for some reason but I tried giving whatever info I had at the time. It seems a few people have reported the same problem, on here and in steam community, so I'm surprised it isn't a well known issue but will wait and see. happy

I've since completely reinstalled the game again so will try it all again. I'm also looking at the AIMNAS mod (downloading as we speak), it's all a bit confusing at the moment but I will surely figure it out happy

EDIT/Update:
So after extracting the 8796 1.13 revision from <links not allowed> to my JA2Classic folder under C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ja2_wildfire\JA2Classic;
then extracting the AIMNAS data <links not allowed> to the same JA2Classic folder/location above;
then launching JA2.exe;

I must say wow! I am impressed. This is so far the most well done JA2 update I have seen.
But I have only just taken 2 Omerta sectors (Omerta seems bigger now)
And chance to hit does seem greatly increased or just my imagination?
But otherwise so far so good. Hope it doesn't crash or have any issues later on though.

pbworks is sure outdated. But even so, it contains information that is available nowhere else and still very usefull. If it is ever planned to take it down, please annonce in advance, then I have to start copy a bunch of text from it before it's happening.
