well... i took drassen and oronegro with 100% loyalty. im playing on die hard. i recruited san mona rpcs, miners and babyface. my balance isnt going up or down cuz as much mines/oil rigs produce is spent on babyface and militia and other rpcs. where should i go next? im kinda stuck. salinas has no mine so i wont be able to train militia with no money, and i cant fight 40 enemies in alma. should i go to old grumm? i just need some advice

Doran, formerly Grumm could be your next port of call, but it gets plenty of visits from enemies in the south. It's handy being close to Estoni which you can trade with and get hold of much needed med supplies from Jake when he has them.

I didn't find Alma too difficult, but maybe more of a challenge in Die-Hard. Sometimes you need to wait and see if their forces split and pick them off when they do, Scouts will help with this and expect a few tanks along the way.

Babyface is expensive, maybe too expensive early on in the game. I had the same issue with Conrad, but his bodycount and subsequent loot from the dead paid his wages most of the time.

sadly i didnt pick drop all. and babyface is fun, i love his voice and that his ldr is +20 so i can use him for militia training. however i think his price is too high, that skillset (only 2 skills) and awful wisdom are not really worth it. also i managed to take 2 sectors of alma but im having 5.56mm ammo problems and my mercs are not really skilled marksmans (except babyface) with my imp 68 right now.

hired babyface only because i really need marksmans, cant take alma with 50 marksmanship. sadly im not sure about many rpcs locations (dont tell me anything) because my first try was not completed (2.5 cities + visited estoni). i tried again because i started fight with hales and burtons

also when im here may i ask you few questions:
1) when fred (miner) is in drassen mine awake as foreman it gives 100% of money, and when calvin is in oronegro rig it gives only 40% of money. if nobody is there as foreman it gives 50% of money. can fred work in oronegro and get 100% of oronegros money?
2) there is bug in alma with sgt krott who wants to give you rr even though its destroyed and then stopwatch shows. i dont believe it was case in normal ja2.

Depends how you are playing. You have the option of recruiting all miners via PCM. Maria is recruitable as is Perko. There's 10 unique RPC's and some of the 'traitors' can be re-recruited also.

As mentioned elsewhere Calvin is such a clutz he actually does a worse job than no one managing the rig. You're better off firing him, or recruiting him for menial tasks, though I find his speech in battle quite amusing.

There's been some recent updates with mine foreman code, but in theory you should be able to have Fred work elsewhere, as far as I know. Never tried it myself, I couldn't even hire Fred in my earlier play-through. I thought I read somewhere that mining foreman and oil rig foreman have some differences, so you may not get a guaranteed 100% from a miner in an oil rig, but I need to check that.

Best grab the latest exe, when it becomes available. I'm still hoping we can get a new SCI out before the new year too, as it's been a while.

wow 10 new rpcs. it would be really fun if all rpcs from all mods are added as 40 new memebers of aim replacing old aim in original ja2. its really sad that rpcs are limited to only one mod. benny from shady job, spooky from sog69, eskimo from rubicon, sandman from vengeance, convert from renegarde...
