How do I remove permanent weapon attachments (barrel extender, rod & spring) from the game? They are unrealistic.

If it's about them inseparable, you can change the tag in items.xml

<Inseparable>1</Inseparable>

//0 = removeable
//1 = inseparable
//2 = inseparable, but replaceable

If you don't like to see them at all, a few places I can think of are:

Attachments.xml

<ATTACHMENT>
  <attachmentIndex>307</attachmentIndex>
  <itemIndex>23</itemIndex>
  <APCost>20</APCost>
</ATTACHMENT>

remove all entries with their item number (i.e. 307 rod&spring)

--

The xml for item choices (i.e., EnemyItemChoices.xml, ItemChoices_Militia_Elite.xml, etc)

you could look for their item numbers and change them to something else

<bItemNo22>307</bItemNo22>

--

I don't think any are placed directly on maps or any merchant is selling them

but in case there are some on maps, delete them in mapeditor

and if some show up at merchants, check the xml for dealer inventory (again, for the item number)

--

Maybe there is more to do, but that's what comes to mind now

How to get: latest 1.13, 7609 and more | 7609 SCI (eng) | Compiling+SVN

I need more details. (Didi Hallervorden)

As far as I know setting an item coolness to zero keeps the game from spawning that object. I can't say about specimen added to maps though.
