Brainmod install problem - GOG + latest 1.13 + brainmod[message #366520]

Hi everyone! I wanted to give Brainmod a try so I installed a fresh GOG Gold install, put latest 1.13 on top of it and then added the github content of the Brainmod code repo. Latest 1.13 works fine, but the Brainmod does not.

If I don't add the specific brainmod exe, I get this error:

If I add the Brainmod specific JA2.exe to the latest 1.13, I get this error:

I don't really know where to go from here, AIMNAS works fine on top of 1.13 and I'm not clear on the inner workings of Brainmod. If this is the wrong place for the topic, I'll delete it and try to reach @sun_alf on his github.
