I hear everyword in the 'book' everyday... when I come home and play JA2 I don't want to hear it as well.

Besides, thier words added to the humor... "Oh... cheesedip!"

I'm not too impressed with pottymouth either. If it would add to anything maybe, but I don't see it.
Ja is a little removed from reality and I think that's where it should remain.

If Shadow or Wolf said anything but "crap" when dung-beetle stuff connects with rotating blades, I'd be dreadfully disappointed. "Oh... cheesedip!" just won't cut it with these guys.

And Magic... well... y'all know that Magic simply isn't G-Rated. Very Happy

While I would probably use every nasty word in the book to describe being in a combat situation I totally agree that Jagged Alliance doesn't need profanity because of the humor. The humor comes from understating what is going on. I think it is a lot funnier to hear Shadow say that he wished for a 50 foot can of something really bad for the environment than it would be if he shouted something really vulger. Kind of like Couger saying "Fuddle-Duddle" when something bad happens. It's funny because we get the impression that he really wants to use another f-word but stops himself. Some of the mercs swear, some don't, that is what makes them interesting.

"Oh Fffffffffffuddle Duddle"

That gets annoying as hell when you're stressed and cougar messes up.

Well, I'm sure that we already come up with some very creative (and loud) phrases when we screw up badly. I've made my fair share of game destroying mistakes.

I've just found and started playing Jagged Alliance one. And fell in love with it. I can't tell which one is more difficult, gameplaywise. I've had to restart several times over. Mostly because of financial and native-related problems.

Truefully, I still don't understand how people can deal with being shot at and avoid soiling their trousers.

You would think at least a few of the less seasoned mercinaries would pee their pants if they were running from bullets. Or start vomiting after killing someone for the first time.

I really liked how Biff quit the team after killing for the first time in JA1. I suppose he's toughened up for JA2?
