Find the remote in the house on the far edge of the Hedge Maze sector (1 north from the palace). Use it near the fountainhead to open the passage.
Alternatively, you could storm the palace. I just love it, I get to meet elliot... and terminate him permanently Wink

I do like storming the palace. It's quite fun, though I think you need explosives of some sort to actually get inside it.

Well, I had to storm the palace since I didn't find in the remote control. I guess it was in the locked crate but unfortunately noone was able to open it, so I used TNT with the result that the whole crate was gone, including the remote control.

I didn't meet Mike in the whole game so I wondered if he is in the secret tunnel. When I entered the tunnel through the palace however no Mike was spotted in any tunnel. Bad karma, I guess.
