Hi everyone,

First of all I'd like to state that JA2 is the greatest game on the planet. I have completed this game 2X and now I am planning to do it for the third time. But this time I want to do it my own way. In the begining of the game I want to create my own team of loosers and adwance with them through the game.
So, the question: Is there any code in IMP page (you kow, where you create your own character) besides xep624 to enter and to make aditional characters. In case you dont know any, than maybe you know of any editors or cheat codes to be used to achive my goal.

thank you,
Peace and God Bless,
Z

Welcome to the forum Zigyman Smile .

You can have up to 6 imps if you download the 1.13 mod listed above in the 1.13 section. Just look through the threads and you will find what you need, and how to use the 90210 imp cheat. Also 90210 has been changed to accept 7 charater names so you can create as many imps as you want and then add them in just by typing the name. You are resticted to only 6 because there is only 6 voice sets, I guess the game dosent like it if you use same voice.

What else do you want to do in creating multiple IMPs? XEP624 works fine in doing that.
If your using 1.13 then there are no editors as of yet. Cheat codes are the same as the previous versions.

I'm a little fuzzy on the 90210 cheat, how exactly do you use it?

Instead of typing xep624 on the IMP site you type in 90210.

Are you using the new 1.13 mod? If so just create a merc as usual with xep624. Then save and quit the game. Then start a new game up. Your new merc you created before is saved in the data folder. At the xep624 prompt type in the name of the merc you made before. But keep in mind that you can have only a 7 letter name. 8 letters dosen't seem to save. Anyway type in the name not 90210 they changed that. And then hit enter and notice that you now have 1 merc in your mercenary list. You can do this each time creating IMPs and just typing in the name. Also keep in mind that you can have only 6 IMPs at a time because of the voice sets. 3 male and 3 female. For some reason the game dosen't like duplicate voice sets running.

An alternative is to open up the pro-edit and alter away to your hearts content. I gave them all a uniform, got rid of zero meds as anybody can tie a bandage. On the other hand I haven't bestowed better equipment or made them all cheaper; the opposite applies as I like a challenge.

As a jagged alliance veteran, and a hard core gamer, I'd just like to say that this place is my best find this decade!!! Excellent information and a great layout guys.

Does anyone have any save games they'd like to share? I tried downloading a few from the Internet but the links are either dead or too old ...

I can't get the cheats to work on my laptop either... is it because I'm running windows XP?

Don't double post. Moderators here are evil people. If they get angry they come and take your 1.13 away! Then they make it impossible to you to download it again, destroy your vanilla JA2 CD and you're stuck with only Unfinished Business. It's fun for a while but then it gets boring. So, don't double post. :biglaugh:

You're just freakin' LUCKY! When you start with cheats, it's darn difficult to learn not to use 'em when you get stuck.

I have Windozer XP and the cheats work all too well. Yesterday I finally succeeded to play through the game without using a single cheat. It was difficult. Many times, I forced myself to stop when already written GABB. My wrist hurts.

Anyway, do/did you have version 1.06 or newer? (I dunno if cheats work in 1.13, i'm currently downloading it. 42.7 / 76.3 Mt, speed is 54.6 kt/s, 09:34 left. It's long way from the States.) My version is Gold 1.whatever and I can't think any other possible answers but that your (previous?) version doesn't/didn't know those cheats.

Sorry my bad inglese, I am not a native. (as all you readers prolly already had figured out)

EDIT: Fixed all the misspellings I could find.
