I had been thinking about this a while and recently saw this in an old archived thread so I thought I'd put it up: If you were making a movie of Jagged Alliance, and you could cast anyone you wanted, living or dead, who would you have play which roles? Here are a few of my suggestions:

Ice: Cuba Gooding Jr.
Raven: Rene Russo
Cougar: Dustin Hoffman (he looks EXACTLY like Dustin Hoffman but with blond hair)
Fox: Daisy Fuentes
Buzz: Neve Campbell
Hitman: Tom Selleck
Reaper: The guy from the Paul Mitchell shampoo commercials
Gasket: looks like a young Ronald Reagan
Ira: Joe Pesci

You guys got any ideas?

Joe Pesci?

Fidel could be played by, what was his name again? Domino or Dominique or something, the host of that home video or candid camera show or what was it. (Must be all clear to you now heh?!, ahum)
Cliff would be Tom Hanks.
Well, Cliff and Fidel probably wouldn't be in the movie anyway. (I sure hope Tom Hanks won't be)

Dolf Lundgren could play Ivan.
Mister Myagi from karate kid could play Dr.Q senior or something.

John Woo could direct it, lots of hard action and stuff, if he doesn't stay too long in Hollywood. Otherwise Quentin Tarantino, he's funny and bloody at the same time.

Flo - Maria de Medeiros - Not that super attractive, yet still gets good parts in movies. Remember Bruce Willis' girlfriend in Pulp Fiction?

Magic - Wesley Snipes - Might be able to pull it off. Or might be suitable for other roles.

Steroid - Ralf Moeller - You remember that big muscle bound meathead in Gladiator? He was also Conan in the short lived TV series.

Shadow - Russell Crowe or David Carusso - I think the edge goes to David. Just watch the last 20 minutes of Proof of Life.

This is actually more difficult than I thought it would be:

Magic: Laurence Fishburne (just needs to work out a bit/lot).
Grizzly: Hagen from Gladiator. Don't know his real name, but he's huge.
Dr. Q: Kai from Romeo Must Die. Damn, I don't know any of these guys' names.
Steroid: Dolph Lundgren. There's actually an uncanny resemblance.
Reaper: Sean Connery with some colour in his hair and his 'mean'-look.

(I.M.P. merc #5: Me with a different haircut. I'm serious.)

Lynx - Someone once mentioned James Woods and it's a perfect match because Woods always plays arrogant jerks.

Gasket - Go to imdb.com and look up Michael Rooker (from Bone Collector, Cliffhanger) and try to tell me he does not look exactly like Gas.

Mike - By JA2 Mike is already pretty old. If he supposedly assassinated JFK (as mentioned in the manual), he'd have to be at least mid to late fifties. I figured, you give James Garner an assault rifle and flak jacket and presto!

Good choices. I do know who Michael Rooker is. He would be good as Gasket. I once saw a site with a section called "Hey, it's That Guy!" and he was listed as the quintissential "that guy" - someone who most people recognize but few actually know by name.

Defently this could be a Tarantino movie. He could even act as Elliot.

Personaly ide rather see actors who can act the characters rather then look like them. Sadly nothing comes to mind just now...

Err... besides casting,
What about a storyline?
Maybe we could start thinking up of a story line on this very discussion board! :animread:
Well obviously You would start with the starting movie or something similiar, then Omerta. But What afterwards?
Oh and who should get killed along the way?

Would a totally animated movie be a better idea?
I was thinking about how Street Fighter II (the movie) was so devoid of all the special moves the fighters had.

Mantis,
The ORIGINAL SF2 movie features many of the characters special moves. There were a lot of crappy SF movies put out after the original. If you've seen the one where Vega attacks Chun Li in her apartment (in her undies.. droool), that's the ONE and ONLY true SF movie.

Hang on.
I'm talking about the sf movie wwith van damme as guile in it.
I don't rember seeing one sonic boom from guile or only one "ba low get" (Is it called a fire ball?) from Ken in the final fight with Vega.
Thats off the topic now.

Gotta apologize to Uzi and Bear who moderate this area.
The live action SF movie was just a mistake to begin with. And ya it sux.
I was talking about the SF2 japanimation, the original which was movie length with movie script. That kicks ass. They made a whole slew of other SF2 anime after that but it all blows.

I can see it now Roach...
Fidel Starts arming a C4 forgetting about a wire or something so causes a much shortened fuse. He sneaks toward the target were he spots a grey shirt. Someone calls to him to throw it away and he respounds with his normal,
"Go away Fidel is Busy now"
:
Then he rembers the C4 looks at the timer...
Then, well I'd like to see the look in his face...

Just as a nitpick, his comment was, "Yeah, all right. Tell me... does Metavira have a bakery yet?"

(Don't ask me why that piece of trivia is etched so indelibly in my mind, I don't know. I never hired the guy for anything other than amusement.)
