I don't know if this has been asked before, but I wanted to know what everyone calls their IMP? Is it your user name here, or something different.
In JA2 my guy was 'Whisper' I lucked out and got night ops and stealth through the questions.
In UB my guy is Hard Rock.
I haven't tried importing, becuase I haven't finished JA2 yet.

:ramfall: BTW, I'm sure you all know already, but Thomas Beckett was also a famous English historical figure.
He was the Archbishop of Canterbury (which is where I'm writing this post from, you can't avoid him here), the estranged freind of the King, Henry II and a fairly forward thinking figure for his day.
Henry, to cut a long story far to short, was displeased with him because he refused to yield to his ideas. When the King uttered "who will rid me of this turbulent priest" (or something like that anyway...) he was overheard by some over-enthusiastic knights, who proceeded to race to Canterbury and murder Beckett in a horribly nasty fashion in front of several witnesses. (29th of December, 1170 AD.)
Most historians acknowledge that Henry didn't want Thomas killed, and that he bore a huge burden of guilt afterwards.
A bit of backround for your merc prehaps
On topic, my IMP merc was always called Moo, for no reason that makes any sense to anyone but me.

How odd, to find a relative on the Jagged Alliance bulletin board!?!? My mother's family was part of the York family from Pall Mall, TN. Sgt. York, please e-mail me at "ppecena@aol.com" to determine our genealogical connection.
My character in Jagged Alliance is usually "Bronco Lubich", the name of a wrestling referee from the Dallas area back in the 60s and 70s.

It seems the previous "IMP name" thread met with the same fate as the previous "Your stats if You were a merc" thread... That is, vanished into oblivion. Either that or I remember the name and location wrong.
My IMP is "Uzi", a nick which I use in other games (and places) as well. It's modified from another nick of mine, change a letter, drop a couple others, and the end result is Uzi. The nick does not imply weapon preference! Although the Uzi is a solid piece of worksmanship, I'm more partial to H&K.
Full name is most often something like Uzi Kozhien, which is just a meaningless play on my real name.
Don't play female IMPs, so don't have names for them.
Uzi

My favorite IMP nickname is "Preacher" or "Reverend", pick the right voice and they are always going on about how it is time for the enemy to say their prayers. I have had a female called "Hooters" though.
