 I downloaded Deidrianna Lives from the german site. It seems to be missing something. it says that XCEED.OCX is not correctly registered. Anyone know what to do?

PS Sorry if this is in the wrong folder.

 How are you starting the game? Are you clicking on ja2.exe or ja2dl.exe (I think that is the name). You must use the DL executable.

 I had alot of trouble downloading and playing DL. But it's been so many years I forget what the install method was. I think it had something to do with the infamous 1.06.exe but don't remember.

I hope someone chimes in and lets us know how to correctly install this mod. I don't have it currently loaded on my new computer because I can't remeber how to do it.

 Here are the steps that I followed:

* Clean install of JA2
* Install patch 1.06
* Install DL
* Start DL using JA2DL.exe

 What DL did you downloaded? The german or the english version? I remeber installing and playing the english version without any problems at all. I will give it a try this afternoon and see if it works in winxp. As I remeber I didn't installed any patches over my v1.03 JA2.exe.

 I took a look at the Dl package as it looks on the ja2mods.de site. Xceedzip.ocx is the file you need to unzip all the little zips that are in the DL's folder. You can get it from the Urban Chaos mod's package. Just copy it in the folder with Deidranna Lives and that would do the trick. Or, better, download the mod from JA Galaxy. You will need a (free) account on the strategyplanet servers. That file is a .exe one and at me it installed and ran flawlessly 2 years ago.

 No, the Xceedzip.dll from the Urban Chaos package won't do the trick. Here is what you will have to do:
1. Make a free account on Strategy Planet if you don't have one (or one on IGN.com, or one on Gamespot.com or even one on Gamefaqs.com) Go to the Jagged Alliance Galaxy site, click on JA2 then on Downloads and than on Mods. Scroll down to the Deidranna Lives mod, download the two patches and then click on Download and follow the fileplanet's site instruction for downloading (if you have a free account, you should select one of the free donwload servers). This will download and install the IGN Download Manager, through wich you will download the ja2dl.exe file.
2. Make a fresh install of JA2. Don't patch it with anything.
3. Run the ja2dl.exe file and when you are promted, browse to the folder in wich you made that fresh JA2 install. Click the install button and you will get a JA2DL entry in your Start Menu folder.
3. Run the JA2DL shortcut from the JA2DL Start Menu entry. This will perform the actual instalation of Deidreanna Lives. You will see a small windows in wich you will choose the folder in wich to install the mod (this time you will have to select the ja2.exe file). Select the file, hit ok, then confirm that you really want to install Deidranna Lives.
4. Now go to the folder and install the 2 patches you downloaded from JA Galaxy.
5. Every time you want to play the mod, run the JA2DL shorcut from the Start Menu JA2DL entry. This way you can ALT+TAB from the game every time you find a clue card, hit the Read clue button to insert the clue card's code and than ALT+TAB game into the game, where you will find that you just received an e-mail with a clue.
That's all. This install procedure worked for me and I played the Omerta sectors without any problem.
