Cheers everyone !
Im new to this forum and im also crap when it comes to spelling english, so i hope you will understand my questions anyway. Smile

And then the question. I have some serius problems to locate the miners in calisto and Galileo. I have looked all around those places and cant find them ! I did find that stupid Brains caracter, but no miner at all. So, where are they hiding ?

If I'm not mistaken the miners are located in the sectors where the mines are...

Eeuuhh... That sounds pretty stupid, but it is true nonetheless. Just walk around those sectors a bit and you should meet a NPC with a name, simply talk to them to get an income.

Most of the times they are inside buildings/crepagen plants.

I know that they should be i a mining sector. But i havent found them in those two cities. I have found a few other NPC, but none of them is a miner. Thanks anyway !

Noop, didnt find him there. Maybe something wrong with my installation. Searched the whole map, did only find some NPC in the bar, but still no miner. I will try to install everything agian this weekend. I have had lots of other problems, maybe beacuse i didnt do a clean installation of JA2 before installing UC. Didnt wait to start gaming Smile

So you found Paul, the Beatle, but could not find the miner?? He should be there 24/7... I would try using GABBI cheats before I would re-install... just my opinion of course.

I seem to recall a head miner not showing up in one of my sectors right after capturing it. I sped time up and he was there. You might even try leaving the sector with all of your mercs and returning. Though I don't think I did that.

Tell me, did you go somewhere else than Calisto first? You've got to go to Calisto first! Since there is a bug reported that if you go to Sheraton (example) first, and then you go to Calisto you probably won't meet the head 'miner' there. You've got to start with Calisto.
There has to be thousands of questions about the 'miners'.
Fred Morris (the head 'miner') should be located in the big white building; sector: D13. If you won't find him, check every NPC by using:
ctrl+gabbi and alt+e.

Thanks Maddog. I did take Sheraton first. So maybe thats the problem. But i think i will have to reinstall anyway. I havent been able to recruit Ruddog or Rosebud, and the airport manager in Atremo didnt want to take the ticket for my luggage, and also i havent found the head miner i Galipoli. He is also "missing". I still go there from time to time just checking out. But no miners. Thanks for all help guys !

Oh man! You've lost loads of fun! And the manager gives you good information to carry while doing your job in Danubia... reinstalling would be the wisest thing for you to do.

The head 'miner' is Matt Bonner. You can locate him from the sector I14. If you don't feel like searching use the CTRL+GABBI code and ALT+E and search every NPC in the sector. Matt should be there.

I had problem with miner in Galileo. He just was not there!!
But!!!!
I figured out that I have to attack silently and kill guy who sits in a "small control house" with big red button.
After you attack silently and dont cause alarm there wont be smoke coming out of the plant. And miner appears on the map right after the battle!
He will stay inside a warehouse in the center of the map.

Also I installed JA2 Gold, after .12 patch and then Urban Chaos. That might help......
But before I had the same problem!! There were no miner in Galileo........ Cos u have to attack mine silently.. Wink
