Am I the only person stupid enough to hire Kaboom? Just started playing JA2 a couple of days ago and started with 1.13. Hired Kaboom for 2 weeks at the start because he was a cheap explosives expert and I have no idea what I'm doing. I'm beginning to see the error of my ways but he's so over-the-top stupid that it's kind of funny. Also seems to get drunk during the evening/night if he isn't assigned to do anything. At least I assume this is what's happening because I can't find much information on him since I guess no one uses him.
I'm thinking about buying insurance on him and then letting him die during a battle to get rid of him and recoup some money (I assume that's how insurance works?). I'm guessing that dismissing him doesn't give me anything back. I would actually probably keep him around if his wisdom wasn't so low because he has kind of grown on me. I feel like sending him out to die would be like killing a puppy that didn't know any better.
