Has anyone tried this out ?

I tried months ago , but due to the confusing instructions ( might have just been me Smile

) got nowhere .
They have just updated the download , so anyone else going to try and see how easy or otherwise this mod is to install !

This might be an excellent addition to our family of mods , so go on , give it a shot !

I thought UB 1.13 was impossible to do. How did they accomplish that, and does it have all the 1.13 features? Shame I can't understand Polish.

If UB can be made into 1.13 , of course so can SOG .
Takes a lot of work though .

Edit : Of course it is a hybrid , same as UC and DL by Will .

ok, you need to put in smackw32 and fmod.dll from regular 1.13 before running it, now it has some errors about polish.slf file

nevermind, now it doesn't find maps.slf

For anyone who might not know this , using Google Chrome , when a foreign language page opens , it will automatically ask if you wish to translate .
Sometimes it's a little , emm , inaccurate , but it does give an idea of what's being written , just persevere and read in context .

The translated steps are as follows:
1) Jagged Alliance 2
2) 1.13, latest version
3) download and install the ub-hybrid: http://jagged-alliance.pl/plik423/
4) copy the following ub slf files:

BattleSNDS.slf
NPC_Speech.slf
Speech.slf

into Data-UB\Language\PL\

That's obviously for the polish version only. There are however Polish, Russian and English to choose from at the beginning of the installation so you could try putting those files into Data-UB\Language\ENG\ or whatever. I'll try it once it finishes downloading

uh beat in time, however step 4 isnt required

Works like a charm with the English version

There are three folders inside "Language": "EN", "PL" and "RU". Just pick one and set the appropriate option with set ja2ub 1.13 campaign

Thanks to Luppolo and Mso , this works no problems , no crashes ( so far ). Thanks to Legion Zone modders for this :cheers:
Same as original except , of course higher res , updated 1.13 weapons and NAS !
Well worth a try , still a bit on the short side though !

The latest revision of 1.13 from SVN repository .
See threads how to download / install , this has every newest feature built in , BUT it is all beta testing !

The start screen should give you the option of different languages , if not , your install is faulty .

thank you for the quick answer.
Meanwhile the game is running.
But sometimes my party can't walk back to H 7 (starting sector).
And new soldiers don't reach the next sector. They walk and walk
and walk...
The same problem is to reach the sector with Betty after
reparing the computer.

Other problem: I tried to copy other sectormaps from mods without
own Ja2UB.exe into maps to play them, but unsuccessfull.
The attempt with "Campaigns" was also unsuccessfull.
So I play only the sectors of Old-UB.

Sounds like a faulty install again . Something just isn't right Fan .

As for your second problem , UB 1.13 is a beta test game , it's very unlikely that any added maps / sectors will work at all .
I advise you to uninstall completly , reinstall from the beginning with no added extras , and just play the game through first .

Guys , you must d/load this into your PC's , even if you think you don't like UB , it is worth having all these mods .
One small problem , whilst trying out different mods , the SOG 69 with vietnam weapons didn't start up . I might not leave the house this weekend ! :ok:

SOG with normal equipment is easy to fix, just needs renaming the folder by removing "-mod".
Using Vietnam equipment is another story.

SOG Vietnam1.13:

I'm seeking for the teleporters:

And how to get to the following sectors:

H 2,I 2,J 2,K 2 a.s.o.

In the "old" SOG there was a boat from C 8 to D 5 and then to F 4 and H 2.
But now in C 8 there is only one heli to B 13, no boat.

I've just finished JA2 1.13 and I would like to play with my mercenaries in JA:UB now.
Unfortunately there is a problem with converting savegames.
I've tried to update JA:UB to JA:UB 1.13 and I've succeed.
But it doesn't change anything - I still don't know how to import my good old team.

Please help!
Unfinished Business without my mercenaries doesn't make any sense.

i know it go to the legion.zone site, click ub1.13, download FROM THERE 1.13 svn, install svn, download the UB hybride 1.13, install it and download and install the addons.

OK got it fired up but it is not completely english, lots of texts are still polish. So I poked around and found that the "Data" folder in the "unfinished_business_1.13(4870)_v1.5_pl.7z" at http://jagged-alliance.pl/plik423/ has a lot of polish files that the "Data-UB\Language\EN" folder does not overwrite (so to speak).

So I started the whole process over and extracted everything from the ub-hybrid 7z except "Data" and now everything seems to work fine. Using the official 4870 build of 1.13 in case that's relavent. Is the svn ub-hybrid allso like this or is there a more english suited download somewhere else for ub-hybrid v1.5?
